So, okay, HELP.

As I've told everyone 8 million times, I'm a Floridian. I've seen snow a grand total of 3 times my entire life. I have no idea how to dress for the cold. And seeing as how I'll be going to Europe in a couple months where it'll definitely be colder than I'm used to (and then moving to Salt Lake Cityyyy), I should probably remedy that.

So I'm wondering. Is this a good cold weather coat? Cold weather meaning, 45 to 25 degrees, plus a sometimes-significant wind chill? I'll be of course bringing along a fleece coat, long sleeves, and (at my parents' insistence) silk long underwear. And I'll definitely be outside cavorting around Germany and the Netherlands more than I will be inside, so.

And... boots? How about these boots? Something warmer? More waterproof? ARE THEY NOT FASHIONABLE ENOUGH?? Alfjdalsjdslkdj. Any suggestions or recommendations would be SUPER helpful.

Yeah, that's what I was wondering! When I saw that I thought, uh, no, suede will be all gross if it gets wet! And then it says it's water resistant? Even though it apparently won't be too snowy/rainy while I'm there, I don't know if I want to gamble with only semi-waterproof boots. And layers! Oh yes, layers. My poor suitcase, hee.

yes -- few things suck more than having to walk around in wet, squishy socks all day.

i'm doing well! just been crazy busy -- work, some health issues, and a new boyfriend, and that's pretty much what i've had time for. i troll lj where i can but omg i watch spn like a week late now, it's lame.
