Won't be around forever, girl

March 19th I got the blood test pertaining to the medical saga. Right? Right. A week later I still haven't heard the results from my doctor. From that time to now, I have called my doctor's office many many times, all with varying answers, ranging from "it takes 7 to 9 business days for the lab to get it to us, so call again in a few days, " to "oh, due to HIPPAA regulations, YOU'RE supposed to be the one to get the results from the lab and have them sent to us." Uhh, since when? But, okay, whatever. Called the lab. And called. And left messages. And more messages. So yesterday I finally drove over to the lab to see what the hell was up.

Long story short: "Oh, what's the fax number to your doctor's office? Okay, the results are on their way."

KAY

So I won't be going there again. Hopefully, at least, my results should be given to me by my doctor on Monday or Tuesday.

Relatives came over today and we had an Easter feast/birthday get together, complete with a homemade dulce de leche cake, which I requested, a combination of three different cake recipes and omfg it is DIVINE. I will eat the rest of it with the reverence it deserves.

I had taken off work for my birthday but due to scheduling weirdness, I'm going to have to open, ugh. At least I get off at 9:30am. Buuut the next two days after that I have to work 1-10:30pm ughhhhh. I'd rather work a 9.5 open shift. But if I can just get through those, then I'm off to Chicago on Thursday to hang out with my sister! YAY. I need to get out of here for a bit.

Speaking of needing to get out of here... I think I may have another idea for a non-permanent living situation. My cousin lives in Minneapolis and is getting married soon, but her and her fiance have stated many times that they would love for me to come and visit and stay in their guest room. When I go up for their wedding in September, I'm gonna ask if it might be possible to stay with them for six months or so. It's weird, especially since they'll be married and I'd be living with them, but my cousin and I have always been pretty close, I adore her fiance, and we're all a big bunch of nerds. Plus it would just be so nice to see pretty flowers. And seasons. Like autumn. And SNOOOOWWW.

And if that doesn't work out, I'm gonna send resume after resume to every job listed on bookjobs.com. A lot of which reside in NYC. So. Yes.

Ugh. Bedtime. Opening tomorrow.

The family and I went to Buca di Beppo, seriously, best Italian food ever ever, and I stuffed my face, and my dad made a red velvet chocolate cake with cream cheese and mascarpone frosting and I stuffed my face and I'm not eating ever again. My haul is pretty awesome: money from my Omas, dark blue Keds, a webcam (so I can FINALLY Skype and stuff!), a armband holder for my iPod so I can actually go running and listen to music!!, ZOMBIELAND!!, an amazon.com giftcard, and a Fossil giftcard. AWESOMMME.

TOMORROW I am hopefully getting a bunch of friends together and going to the beach to watch the sunset and eat at this delicious seafood restaurant. Hopefully they will buy me drinks. HAHA.

And of COURSE a sincerely happy birthday to my lovely birthday buddy kashmir1! And to the also awesome poppyjar! Best day ever, OR BEST DAY EVER. ♥!!!

Now I'm off to watch Sherlock Holmes! SHIT, SON.

I slept in and skipped my first class, but I had to go to my other two, bleh. But afterwards my cousin called me and her and my cousin-in-law took me to do PUTT-PUTT GOLFING. Best ever, omfg. And they brought me cheesecake! With strawberrys on top! WHAT IS BETTER, SERIOUSLY.

AND THEN, I came back to my apartment and my roommates had all of our friends over for a food club/birthday dealio! With much delicious food! AND TWO OTHER CAKES. Yes, I blew out candles on all three, HAHA. Awesome roomie #1 got me THIS SHIRT aksjdflaskjd SO AWESOMEEEE. And then awesome roomie #2 got me, well. For this, we need the visual. YOU SEE, we have this stand up cardboard of Will Turner. But roomie #2 is moving out soon! And she decided we needed a replacement:



YES, THAT'S RIGHT. THE DAZZLER HIMSELF. With craft glitter glue on his face. THAT GLOWS IN THE DARK. HOLY SHIT, NOTHING IS MORE AMAZING.

SO. Yeah. Good day. And TOMORROW I'm driving home! HOOOME. So very very excited.

Okay, so, okay. Last night, I just so happen to stumble across the full episode of Berrisford Agenda and I stayed up WAY TOO LATE watching it and kind of having a FIT because seriously, I couldn't freaking love him any more if I tried. So, SO, now I am kind of worshipping the person who put up all the links to the Jensen-only scenes in Dark Angel here (you'll have to scroll down a little bit) AND I AM LIKING IT MORE THAN JUST A LITTLE BIT, OKAY.

The show should have just been about Alec. Srsly.

Tonight we're going to my cousin's daughter's 2nd birthday! It will be all kinds of adorable, I'm sure. It really doesn't help the fact that I'm having some serious baby-wants right now. NO GOOD.

Also, both Starbucks and Yankee Candle called within an hour of each other. Yankee Candle isn't actually starting new people for another couple of weeks.
