Won't be around forever, girl

Wincon. WINCON. You are complete and utter joy and happiness. Four years now I've gone and the only reason why I regret going is that I eventually have to come back home where there are NO FANGIRLS. Not cool in the slightest. If I could put into words how weird and completely awesome it is to physically see and hang out with people in close quarters who you know only online I WOULD, but. It is definitely something that must be experienced!

I mostly hung out with spazzbot, exsequar, popmusicjunkie, lostt1, __tiana__, and ignited, who are pretty much the awesomest, loveliest ladies on the planet, if you didn't already know. Some of us went into Chicago proper on Thursday and it was SO much fun omg. The most unfortunate thing about this trip was that when I was pretty much 10 minutes away from the airport last Wednesday I realized that I forgot my camera oh my Godddd. I don't know HOW that happened; that thing is usually attached to my hand. I was so bummed out, and I'm still trying not to beat myself up for it, meh. Still, some others got a good amount of pictures, so it's not a complete loss! AND my phone has been upgraded from crappy to less crappy, so I did get some on there!

The other good thing about Wincon is that it finally kicked off the happening of FUN TIMES. Yesterday was my little sister's 20th birthday (!!!), so we went out for dinner and had homemade oreo cake so THAT WAS GOOD. And then this weekend we'll be celebrating my Oma's birthday, as she'll be 93, 93! on the 25th, and we'll have a whole bunch of relatives over. In two and a half weeks my sister and I will be roadtripping up to Atlanta to see Sufjan Stevens in concert and also eat at the OK Cafe which has the best southern food ever omg. A month from now two certain AWESOME AWESOME FANGIRL PEOPLE will be in Orlando and I get to stay with them and yay!! And then Thanksgiving week will be spent in the north Georgian mountains in a modern cabin with friends of the family and my God, I cannot wait. Good tiiiimes.

Also, if you think I haven't been thinking about the promo for this week's episode, LOL YOU'D BE WRONG. I haven't seen any other clips or promos or read any articles, but, UM, fair warning, I may lose my shit. I might have a thing. Shh.

Getting up bright and too early tomorrow morning to head to the airport for Chicagoooo and Wincon and lots of awesome fangirls! So very very excite. Winconers! My Wincon peeps. spazzbot and I are thinking of heading into the city proper on that Thursday (10/14), and if anyone wants to join you are more than welcome! I thiiink I have figured out a pretty good way to get into Chicago. From the hotel or big mall next to it, you can take a 10 minute taxi ride to the Elmhurst station, and from there hop the Metra ($8 round trip, $4 if you're a student or still have a valid student ID, ahem) that takes you directly into downtown Chicago. I found out that the Field Museum has free admission on the 14th, yaaaay! so that's definitely an option. The Art Institute of Chicago is also free on Thursdays from 5pm to 9pm, so that would be cool too. There's also bunches of farmers markets that are gonna be going on until about 3pm which I would just looove to stop and see. And the Magnificent Mile and pretty pretty architecture and FOOOOD. Lou Malnati's and Giordanos with their A++ pizza and seriously, I am going to save most of my money for eating because omg. So if anyone wants to come with, let me know!

ALSO, again, if anyone knows anyone who has room for spazzbot and me on Wednesday night, you would be my favorite ever. :DD

THIS NEW HARRY POTTER TRAILER WHOOAAAA HI. Okay, that's it. I'm digging through my closet of things-still-not-yet-unpacked-from-when-I-moved-back-home and I'm rereading Deathly Hallows. TURN THE ANGST UP TO 11.

AND. UM. TOMORROW. TOMORROW TOMORROW. I'M SO EXCITED, I'M SO EXCITED, I'M SO...

So. WINCON. It's only 3 months away, so that's not to early to start talking about it, right? Right. First of all, if you're not going, you should, because I want to see EEEVERYONE EVER and have a big slumber party and a dance party and it's in Chicago, and come on, CHICAGO, Chicago is awesome! I can personally vouch for it. Here's all the deets.

Wincon, unfortunately, has this uncanny ability to schedule RIGHT around my sister's birthday every year - October 18th - bawww. I'm going to feel bad enough missing the weekend right before her birthday (since it's on that Monday this year), so I will have to leave that Sunday night. So today I thought, screw it, if I'm not going to stay until Monday, I'll just leave Wednesday morning and stay Wednesday through Sunday, the 13th through the 17th. And fabulously enough, there's a cheap, direct flight that arrives in Chicago at 10:30 in the morning that I reeaally want to snatch up. BUT I don't want get there and be all aloooone! Or not have a place to crash! So I may have to wait on that a bit, and see what happens, but those are my tentative plans, I think.

ALSO, regarding Europe travels (yes, more traveling talk, aren't you surprised), I finally spoke with my sister about thinking it was a bad idea to come to Europe with me when she needs to save money if she wants to go to school in Chicago. She agreed, so that was fine. THEN I spoke with two of my good friends, and they said that they wouldn't be able to go for the 3 weeks like I would, but instead come for a week! And possibly doing an excursion and staying at a hostel in another city! LIKE VIENNA. OH MY GOD. Germany, the Netherlands, and Austria. I actually can't even. AHHH I HOPE IT ALL WORKS OUT.

And for even MORE travel stuff, my sister is currently in El Salvador and was told she had bronchitis a day before she left so I'm kind of, uh, worrying a little. Or a lot. She should be totally fine, but I just. Flfjalsdj. I miss her. :(
