To those of us who are or are maybe going to the Creation Chicago Con in November, Chrissy informed me that the Sunday Con tickets are all sold out. Which. Haha. FUCK. I really. Don't know what to do about that. Have they ever sold more tickets later? Or at the Con itself? I'm just. I'll be thinking about it, and we're gonna talk later tonight, so. Fucking sigh.

Errands to run, lotion to keep smothering, closing shift tonight.

Chrissy has a J2 pic though, but I don't think you need a badge to take it. The only thing I can figure is we come for the other days but just... not get into the J2 panel on Sunday. Unless, haha, people usually check the badges at the door, maybe we can wait until just after it has started and sneak in, 'cause I don't think they'll be looking at the date too closely. WAAAAH WENDY. Fuck you, Creation. :(

Waitwaitwait. Tickets are selling out?!? Does that include whole weekend passes or just the Sunday alone passes? WHAT? I think I should just go ahead and buy it - I've been waffling because I don't exactly know if I want to go, but selling out? Motherfuck!

Yep. :(((((!!!! For this, I fault Creation. It's freaking AUGUST. The con is in November! How the hell are we supposed to know when it's almost sold out! They didn't put up a warning or anything. :((((

Okay, but, here's the thing. My friend, who's recently been to one, thinks she remembers them selling day passes AT the con itself. BUT, you know, they just might not this go around. It's a gamble. I'm spitting mad but I think I might just take that gamble and go and see if they are selling just regular old general admin tickets on Sunday (we were gonna get the preferred seating, sigh), if anything. I don't know if you want to do that too.... I'm so sorry babe, I know you were really excited. :(

SONJA. I just. I'M SO SO UPSET. But, okay. Chrissy and I talked earlier and we THINK we have a gameplan. We still want to go, if just to meet up with everyone and traverse to downtown Chicago and whatnot, but I completely understand if you don't want to now. :(((( I'll be writing up a post in a bit, though, and we're going to try to be as optimistic as possible. <3

Please tell me there is still F'ING HOPE to hold on to!!!!! I would definitely still consider coming to see ya'll, but yeah... SOOOO DEPRESSED. I'm praying there is still a chance. A shot in the dark. This means we wouldn't get to see them at all? Technically I would have a photo op still but but but. NOT. ENOUGH. :( :( :(

There is definitely SOME hope. Teeny weeny minuscule-like hope, but it's there, nonetheless. There might be the slim chance that they're actually selling general admin tickets AT the Con (as I very vaguely remember them doing that when we went in '07), so they would be pretty crap seats, but at least we'd be in, you know? But that just depends on how packed it's gonna be and stuff. I would think they definitely WOULD sell SOME seats, 'cause holy crap, it's only AUGUST and the Con is in November! Once they get the actual numbers on the people who are THERE and picked up there badges, they might sell a good number more seats.

Also, as skygazing said, I'm gonna keep scouring ebay. Though people mostly sell their gold/silver tickets, there's a chance they might sell some of the preferred or general too!

BUT, if worse comes to worse, we figure this: go, and make the most of it. DEFINITELY Saturday I want tickets (MISHAAAA), and Sunday, if we can't find any way to get in, we'll hit downtown Chicago and do amazing Chicago-y things. Believe me, I am incredibly super bummed, but having a crapload of your favorite most amazing fangirls around you is some serious happymaking. I REALLY do want you there, but like I said, I completely understand if you want to back out. Being RIGHT THERE without being able to go in and see them is pretty awful. :(

not really very helpful, but maybe encouraging? I read the lj for the vancouver con and have seen a LOT of tickets go up for sale on ebay the last few weeks. Not so great bit is that they're usually the gold/silver packages and just an individual ticket.

I'm still going at least, 'cause my BFF is MAKING me take a J2 pic with her (you can still do the photo ops without the whole-day ticket), so, you know, I'm OBLIGATED to touch two hot guys at once. Such a burden. BUT, unless they're selling the general tickets AT the Con, no, we won't be able to get in to see the J2 panel. :(((( At this point, though, we're thinking of just going to Saturday's panels (which include MISHAAAAAA) and going to downtown Chicago a bunch of times, haha. Creation is really bad at telling people when stuff is going to sell out. They did that with the photo ops too.
