I think... I think I was just asked out on a date.

Ummmm. So, guy at work who is really sweet, right? I've blabbed about him a few times. So, he calls me and asks me if I'm doing anything, and I say no, not really, and he says, did you maybe want to hang out tonight? And MY BRAIN is like, "???!!!!" But um, I already had plans to hang out with my girlfriends at this other coffee shop (WEIRD, I KNOW, since I work at one), but I told him I was really really sorry, maybe some other time? And I've told him about this other coffee shop before, so it's not like I was making it up or anything, heh. But, um. YEAH. I thought I was going to set off the fire alarm in my room because I was so bright red. And by "hang out" I'm not exactly sure it he meant "hang out with you" or "hang out with a bunch of other people from work." But still. He's really really sweet, and funny and kinda cute, but I'm not. I dunno! I'm not sure. I'm more than probably leaving in six months anyway, so. But I'm incredibly ridiculously nervous. I've yet to ever be asked out on a date, or a "hang out," or WHATEVER, and just the thought of, uhh, being alone and like, TALKING. It's terrifying. Alkajsdlkfjs WHATEVER, I could just be jumping to conclusions.

But still. :D



KATE, CHRISSY, AND CHAREST. Because yes, Chrissy is coming! YAAAAY! Okay, so, um. I'm gonna buy us our tickets, yeah? Are we all cool on the General Weekend ticket, rows 8-14? If not, if it's too expensive or something, LET ME KNOW. I want to know, srsly. As for add-ons, Chrissy and I were thinking maybe the Saturday banquet? But that can be bought at a later time, if need be. I'm thinking of buying the tickets tomorrow if I have the okay from everyone. And Char, let me know if I need to get one for Jeffrey too!

Alsooo, the Ten Inch Hero screening is an extra $10, if you wanna do that, but it looks like our seats will be the reserved seats that we bought, so that's pretty cool.

ALSO ALSO, it looks like Chrissy will have to leave on that Monday, but she's looking to get a flight late that afternoon. So did we maybe want to go to a theme park or something? Sea World, maybe? Heeee. If not, there's always Downtown Disney, which has a bunch of cool things to do too.

Anyway, LET ME KNOW ASAP! I want to buy the tickets as quick as possible. GAWD I'M SO STUPIDLY EXCITED. I can't wait to use my new kick ass cameraaaa.

Thanks to stepliana, I've been staring at these absolutely amazing colored photographs circa the 1930-40's all evening. Absolutely amazing. I just love looking at all the people, and the effects of the Dust Bowl, which is really just amazing because I'm reading The Grapes of Wrath right now, and wow. I don't know why, but seeing all this in color just makes it feel so much more... real. Like B&W isn't? It's absurd, I know.

Okee, bedtime. Early, long ass shift tomorrow, SIGH.

Well, it's ok w/ me (I don't really expect to get much sleep at this con anyway, so we might as well enjoy ourselves, lol!), but I will definitely have to check w/ the other girls before I give the ok to you officially. I most likely won't be going to the cocktail party, but I don't know who else from our room might be. But if they're game, I'm game! :)

And speaking of roommates and such, I hope you don't mind, but I invited one other girl to stay in our room cause she was in a lurch for money and we're good friends. I don't know if you're friends w/ her or not, but it's goodbyetoyou, and she's totally cool w/ sleeping on the floor or even in the tub! Lol. A long time ago, I offered a space to lvlysnidrus since she was riding w/ us as well, but I think she had other arrangements. I need to find out for sure, though, and soon, before I completely overbook our room, lol! But as of now, it's me, you, dlgr, one of her friends, and then now goodbyetoyou. So that's 5, and if we can squeeze 2 people to a bed, then only one person has to use the floor. So I hope that works for you. :)

Yeah, I figured we'd have to just say we had 4 to the hotel people, then kinda sneak in the extra person, lol. In Chicago, we had 4 people for 2 nights (Friday and Sunday), and a fifth person joined us on Saturday cause they had a general admission weekend ticket and was leaving on Sunday night. And that was even w/ a room w/ just a King bed, so I know it can be done, we just have to conserve space where possible, lol. :)
