Eeee!
It was so bloody cool. Awesome awesome. Where to start? Well, let's see...
The beginning I thought was a bit slow. The dialogue didn't really seem to pertain to anything, just a bit of jabber here and there. But when it got going, wow, it got going. Johnny Depp... uhm, *thud*. The eyeliner look totally took me. Loved it. He was so so funny. Just his body language and the way he delivers his lines is fantastic. Hilarious. I wonder if he is just as witty in real life. Love men with wit. Anyway, so then there's this Orlando Bloom guy, right? Long hair in a pony tail, wears leggings, great with a sword. Hell, by the end of the movie I think he grew on me. Why, oh, why. It was that bloody hat with the feather. He really did look good with it on. I didn't see him as Legolas at all (perhaps the blonde wig is a bit of a helper...). But, I don't know... his acting seems sort of stoic. The way his voice is when he's just talking... it reminded me too much of Legolas and his non-apathetic way of things. But maybe that's just how he is. He yells with emotion, though, heh. But, I must
The best friggen part... when Captain Barbossa (that's what it was, right?) put the sword right through Jack Sparrow... holy crap my jaw dropped. Then omgwee! he stepped right into moonlight and was a skeleton. Friggen awesome. Ahh. Loved it.
I loved the other pirates. Especially the guy with the pop-out eyeball and his friend. The skeletons shown through moonlight was awesome. Very cool. For some reason I just loved the ships. I think I have a thing for historical fiction. Seeing ships like that was really neat. I loved the scene with the men in the jailcell trying to get the dog with the keys. Right from the ride, heh. But, just like the whole movie... it was the whole atmosphere that I loved. The rogue villans steal away the bonneh lass (died when he said that, I did) and a hero (or two) come to save the day. But it was done cheesily like some Disney movies do. It seemed to fit perfectly. It just, well, sort of inspires me to write. I'm a sucker for those kinds of movies, if they're done well.
Orlando was TEH CHOSEN ONE OMG.
*Sigh* I love movies way too much.
I have a huge hangnail and it hurts really bad. :(

Date: 2003-07-10 12:47 am (UTC)And don't even get me started on Orlando. Mmmmmmmm.... You're right, Mary. He's just....sex on legs. It is, I admit, hard to enjoy him fully when you're sitting next to your extremely possessive and jealous husband, but he is still infinitely droolworthy. Especially in that scene at the end, with the hat and the cape and his hair down and everything.... He looked like Don Juan DeFuckme! LMAO! Anyway, I better stop now or I will be going on about it all night......
