Two years ago yesterday was the first time I ever saw Lord of the Rings. Now that is something worth noting. So, I saw Return of the King
Each time I see it I just get more and more utterly astounded at the grandeur and absolute love that everyone involved had for these films. You can see and feel it like it's radiating right out of the screen.

Our audience was quite good, except near the end... a few people were starting to get impatient that it wasn't over. Too bad, wankers! You'll just have to sit through another 2 minutes of Sam saying, "Well, I'm back." It is so bloody fantastic when dead silence stifles the theatre. Each time I have gone it's been at two parts: when Frodo is looking out at the Eye and Shelob comes out above him... all around you hear gasps and "oh no!"'s... and then when he gets jabbed a lot of people gasp and/or shriek. So fantastic. The second is when Sauron is "calling" to Aragorn and he looks back at the Fellowhip, dead silence all around, and says, "For Frodo." Agh. I just love it.

When Gandalf is telling Pippin about what death is like I finally saw Pippin's pulse just pounding away in the vein in his neck. Bloody. Hell. That absolutely did me in. So so heartbreaking.

The scene that gets me I think worse than all is when Pippin finds Merry and Merry looks up at him, bloody, pale, and wan and says, "I knew you'd find me." That hurts. Augh. No words.

I love the lighting of the beacons. Absolutely love.

Sam is one of my favorite fecking character. He's just... gahh. Sam. <3<3<3

Catie and I cried together, especially when Sam says, "Don't go where I can't follow" as it was our favorite and most heartbreaking lines from the book and Jimmy sat on the other side of me, utterly in awe. There are no words adaquate enough to explain it. It just leaves me so emotionally drained. In the best way possible, of course.

I went up to Best Buy yesterday and bought 2 CD's. The Bends by Radiohead and Wrekage by Overseer. Haven't really had a chance to listen to them yet, as, um, I've been listening to the RotK soundtrack nonstop. Heh.

I finally got my cellphone activated! Hooray.

A new community for writersblok.net is up! [livejournal.com profile] writersblok_net You can check it out if you'd like, but there's not much there yet. Go to the site, instead. Heh.

My wrist still smells like Happy from Clinique from when I went to the mall with Mich yesterday. :)

Every time I've seen it, someone's loudly said "EW!" when Sam's holding "dead" Frodo. It kind of ruins it for me.

The pulse thing always got me.

People laughed! Just after Sam finishes with Shelob and they show Frodo in the webbing some people laughed. Wankers.

Billy is such an amazing actor. I wish they would have nominated him for best supporting actor or something.

If Dad told me that he was in Master and Commander perhaps I would have been a bit more into the idea of seeing it. As long as he's not faking an accent, I'm so there.

Gaaaah. I noticed that the very first time I saw it and it literally had me shaking in my seat with awe. I <3 Billy Boyd and his amazing talent.
