Omg omg omg such brilliant, beautiful brain candy. So freaking good. And I can fully appreciate a movie where the men are dressed in suits for most of it. But GAAAH THE END. Because I am sickeningly optimistic, I THINK IT WOBBLED, OKAY. Buuut the kids were dressed the same as they were in his memory! In the same poses! AND WHAT IF THE TOP JUST WOBBLED, BUT DIDN'T FALL. OMG IDK IF I CAN TAKE IT. AND THEN the whole time during the end, I was wondering, what if Mal WAS right, because Christopher Nolan is a horrible bastard? I hate this movie. I was so delighted. Serious props to actually coming up with an original idea for a movie. It was amazing, because the whole theater was SILENT throughout the whole movie, like, enthralled, and then the ending cuts to black and everyone goes, FUUUUU. It was awesome. And frick, Hans Zimmer is brilliant, but this is not news.

ALSO, the Tron trailer made me want to take off my bra and throw it at the screen. HOLY CRAP CAN'T WAIT. And whose BRILLIANT IDEA was it to put RDJ and Zach Galifianakis in a movie together? Omg whatever that was, I HOPE IT IS ALSO AMAZING.

Friday night my BFFs and I got slurpees and decided to play dress up. Except Mark didn't call it dress up, he called it avant-garde discovery hour. He makes music, so uhh, yeah. I just like red lipstick. HERP DERP.

I FINALLY finished my [livejournal.com profile] spn_summergen fic, so there's that. Just gotta slap on a title and send it off. Maybe I can also finish that OTHER thing that's been sitting there in Word since December. SIGH.

Desperately hoping this week is better than last. My self-esteem is plunging and it's taking everything in me not to get out my brass knuckles and have at my coworker. Just seven more months. Please God, get me through. And then Europe. I have to get through this for Europe.

IF YOU WANT TO STAY OPTIMISTIC, I WATCHED IT A SECOND TIME AND THE KIDS AT THE END WEREN'T THE SAME! I paid extra close attention to the kids and they're exactly the same every single time Cobb dreams up projections of them -- but not at the end. They're wearing slightly different clothes and the girl is noticeably older. :D?

I'd still call it a mind-fuck, though. I used to be leaning towards "the end's a dream!", then for a few moments "EVERYTHING'S A DREAM!", now I'm slightly leaning towards "the end's reality!" but still confused. It's okay! I can still participate in fandom while confused. :DD

OH THANK GOD. I am SO sticking with that, then, haha! Damn them for making it look so similar! But yeah, I'm sure when I see it again I'll be like, FFFFFF- and notice something that will change my mind. THIS MOVIE IS LIKE A CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE BOOK.

omg liek hey whut are you doin here? :D

Inception is sooo gooood. Also, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and his fitted suit aldgkja;s yes.

I really believe that it was reality at the end (because I want to and) because in the credits there is a Phillipa and James both at 3 years and 20 months, and another set at 5 years and 3 years. But I love the cutaway end, because it's such a mindfuck and I love the audience reaction. I want to watch it like 8 more times!

Omg the best part of the movie? WAS SEEING YOU. :DDD!

OHHH now that makes me happy. How clever to look in the credits! And APPARENTLY, if you listen instead of watch the very last second, when it cuts to black you can HEAR the top falling on the table. Not sure how truthful that is, but when I see it again, I'll definitely listen for it!

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF INCEPTION.

The ending KILLED ME, and then I was like, "DURR, IT'S A CHRIS NOLAN MOVIE. YOU SAW THIS COMING A MILLION MILES OFF. WAS IT EVER GOING TO END ANY OTHER WAY?" But it didn't make me feel any better >:( After my first viewing, I was like SHUT UP IT WAS WOBBLING, just like you. But after a second viewing, after also reading everyone's theories, FUCK IF I KNOW. Uugggggh, how is this film so amazing. What I love the most is that there are so fucking many different interpretations and like, ALL OF THEM ARE VALID. I'm almost convinced that is Nolan's final mind-fuck: that he deliberately provided enough evidence for several different theories but never quite enough for any one in particular, oh and also THEY ALL CONTRADICT EACH OTHER MWAHAHAHA.

(And unnnngh, yes, the suits, holy shit. JGL AND TOM HARDY AND KEN WATANABE AND CILLIAN AND LEO FOR DAYYYYYS *___* With bonus Ellen Page, Marion Cotilliard and Dileep Rao. HOLY SHIT, HOW SO HOT, ENTIRE CAST???)

(ALSO ALSO, HANS ZIMMER. YES. I've been listening to the soundtrack over and over and over for like the last WEEK. Shivers, for real.)

Eeep, good luck not clocking your co-worker. Power through, bb, you can do it ♥

LOLOLOL IT'S TRUEFAX. Plus the fact that he did Dark Knight and that movie made me SO STRESSED OUT I thought I was either going to puke or have to leave the room, ahaha. And yes I TOTALLY agree about all the interpretations! Now THAT'S a sign on a good movie.

I CAN'T STOP LISTENING TO THE SOUNDTRACK EEEEITHER. I kinda do that with all his soundtracks though, haha. Angels and Demons? SO SO SO BEAUTIFUL AND EPIC.

UGHHH today she said something completely bitchy to me, and I gave her this long look and just turned and walked away without saying anything. I could tell she was flustered by it, MUWAHAHA. I WILL overcome!

I can't find a link because I'm DUMB and forgot to bookmark it. But! Some blogger somewhere theorized that the ending WAS real because he said if you pay attention to Dom's left hand, he is always wearing his wedding ring in dreams and never in reality. He wasn't wearing his wedding ring at the end so the blogger speculated that his wedding ring was REALLY his totem and not the top. Personally, I like that theory best because I just wanted Dom to have a happy ending.

Aaaaand now I'm just rambling. SORRY.

PS, you are a hottie. :D

Hee, you said what I wanted to say about the wedding ring.

To [livejournal.com profile] caithream:

I've seen in three times (sigh, I am hopelessly addicted), and the wedding ring thing is true. Dom only wears his wedding ring in the dreams and he does not have it on in the final scenes.

Also the kids are definitely older and are wearing different clothes. It's a very subtle difference, which was totally on purpose, according to an interview by the wonderful costume designer.

Okay, that seriously makes me happy. If this movie was made for everyone to have 8 million interpretations of it, THEN THAT IS MY INTERPRETATION.

And holy crap, that is also brilliant. I knew the clothing looked either the same or similar enough, but for them to do that on purpose? THEM SLY DOGS.

I LIKE THAT THEORY. I LIKE IT A LOT. And !!!!! with the wedding ring being his totem! OMG OMG. Because the top WAS already Mal's. Omgggg. I LOVE IT.

That is awesome. I read that Zimmer used part of the musical countdown song in the score, but I didn't realize where and that is so cool.

Nolan picked "Non, je ne regrette rien" before casting for Mal, and when he cast Marion Cotillard he almost changed the song, because she played Edith Piaf in La vie en rose (2007) which is about Piaf, but Zimmer was like 'no, you should totes keep it.'
