Alright, SO, I didn't want say anything until it was a sure thing, but!! [livejournal.com profile] idril_telrunya, [livejournal.com profile] flusteredspeech and myself are going on a 8 day roadtrip next month to Missoula, Montana, Seattle, Washington, VANCOUVER, BC, and Glacier National Park. LIKE, !!!!!!!!! HOLY SHIT, OKAY. ROADTRIP. I'VE BEEN WANTING TO DO ONE FOR SO LONG. IN MOUNTAINS AND BEAUTIFUL PLACES. Basically, our tentative plan is this:

- I fly into Salt Lake City (where [livejournal.com profile] idril_telrunya lives) on the July 23rd.
- We leave bright and early on the 24th to drive up to Missoula, Montana where [livejournal.com profile] flusteredspeech lives. Spend the day there, do amazing Montana things!
- Leave again bright and early the next morning for a 7-10 hour drive to Seattle, Washington. The easiest route would be to take I-90 and get there quicker, but we're gonna take I-2 instead, going the more scenic route. There's this town on the way called Leavenworth that's Bavarian and is apparently AMAZING, so we're gonna stop there too.
- Sometime that night arrive in Bellevue, where the amazing [livejournal.com profile] spazzbot lives, and crash at her place for a little.
- Go see Seattle and PIKE'S PLACE and the first STARBUCKS and EVERYTHING on the 26th and die everywhere because OMG.
- Leave for VANCOUVER on the morning of the 27th, TO SEE WHAT WE CAN SEE. So, okay, this is where I need you guys' help. I KNOW there is a community somewhere on LJ where people update with filming locations and where the SPN crew was last spotted. Does anyone remember what it's called? Also, if anyone has any info (or another community) of places where they've filmed past episodes (like the church in Houses of the Holy, or the bridge that Constance Welch haunted in the Pilot) that would be AWESOME. I suppose it wouldn't hurt to check out Burnaby, even though it's a closed studio and they don't let anyone in, heh. ANY and ALL information you could could help us with would be awesome!
- I THINK we'll leave on the night of the 28th, or maybe reeeeaaally early on the 29th. Drive and drive and DRIVE back east to Glacier National Park (half in Montana and half in Alberta) and sight see for a bit. Drive all the way back down south to drop [livejournal.com profile] flusteredspeech off, and then back to Salt Lake. I fly out on the 31st.

BUT, there is a slight problem.

Comic Con, and the Supernatural panel, is definitely on July 27th, the day we get into Vancouver. SIIIIIGH. Now, there's no official word yet that they boys are gonna be there, but isn't it just HILARIOUS that it happens to be that exact same day. So if we DO get offical word that they'll both be there, we're gonna have to step it up. Probably leave Missoula after a seven hour drive from Salt Lake a couple hours after we get there instead of hanging around the whole day and getting some rest. Another seven hour drive on that same day (well into night) to arrive in Bellevue, and then do Seattle on the 25th, leave that night to Vancouver. That way we'll have the 26th, 27th, and 28th to hang around Vancouver, and if both boys DO go, I would think they'd want to get in as much filming before they left and they'd be doing something on the 26th. I HOPE. I mean, our whole trip is NOT centered around stalking Jared and Jensen (OR IS IT??), it would just be the icing on the cake. So yeah. That'll most likely be our best bet.

BUT YES, if anyone could spare some helpful info about Vancouver, filming, or just things that we CANNOT miss (or should DEFINITELY miss) along I-2, Seattle, Vancouver, or Glacier, that would be awesome! I'm taking my hardcore huge camera, so there will be a LOT of pictures. And Chrissy is definitely thinking about buying a camcorder to film our lame asses, which might be HILARIOUS. Oh God I'm so excited. SO EXCITED. :D

In other news, if you have not tried Sabra hummus (Supremely Spicey, THANK YOU VERY MUCH) and triscuits, you have not yet reached enlightenment. So good flajsldjasd.

I am SO SORRY I've been completely flaky on you lately and not replied to your messages, etc, etc about all this road trip business! I don't know what is wrong with me lately. Partly I was waiting to hear from my sister who I have to dogsit for "sometime in July" about the exact dates. I still have no idea when but she did finally confirm to me that it's "in the middle, not the end" so that should work out.

BUT ANYWAY. I am so excited to see you guys, OMG. I actually technically live in a town called Edmonds, but really am sort of sandwiched between Lynnwood/Mountlake Terrace and Edmonds, which doesn't really make any difference, just thought I would mention. So I live about 20 min. north of Seattle rather than across the lake to the East. It does mean I'll be easier to get to from highway 2, though!

Which, speaking of, that it so cool you guys are coming that way, as it really is absolutely gorgeous!! :D I've only been to Leavenworth once, but it's pretty neat! You will get to drive through the tiny town my Grandpa grew up in! (It's called Startup) Also, Mountains! :D

What else. I will try my best to take you guys around Seattle, Pike Place and all that. If there's anything specific you want to see, definitely let me know. It's weird because other than PIke Place and the Space Needle I haven't really done any of the usual touristy things in Seattle, I dunno!

I would love to go to Vancouver with you guys as well, I just need to find out if I can work it out (basically, if I can get someone to watch my dog) Even if I have to like, ride up with you for a day and take the train home or something! (and we should let Kwen take us around Vancouver as I haven't been there in years and am more likely just to get lost, LOL.)

Another thing -- this could be me not having a clue, but I thought I remembering hearing that they didn't usually film on weekends, and if they did it was usually just on Saturday because they ran out of time during the week. I could be way off though.

Anyway, I'm going to try and get as much time off then as I can, and yeah, I can't wait to see you guys, OMG! :D

HIHI! I am responding because I am NOSY! Hahahah!

ANYWAY! I am the one that said Bellevue because it sounded right and also I am lame. Hahaha! But Edmonds is MUCH better! Totally easier to get to from highway 2! YAAAY!

I have to been to Seattle a couple of times and those are the only touristy stuff I have done (the Space Needle and Pikes). Oh I also went to Experience Music Project and the Science Fiction Museum. That was...very expensive! HAHAHAHA! The only other thing that I really really want to do is go to Iver's. OMNOMNOM! And since it's only like 3 piers away from Pikes I figured we could do that...maybe? Heh! Oh and I want to get a tattoo if possible. HAH! But I don't know if it is...

AND YES! COME TO VANCOUVER WITH US! I still kind of think its a better idea to just drive straight to your house just so we can just get the crazy driving DONE! But who knows. What would be better for you? If we got there on the 24th, that Thursday or waited till Friday? I figured it might be easier to hang out in Seattle on a Friday then on a Sat. Even though both will probably suck. *shrugs* Just let us (YES US! I AM NOSY AND BOSSY...AND ALSO SHORT) know! Heee!

I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU TOO HOLY CRAP!

Ok I'll butt out of Sarah's comments now...

It's okay, all the cities are pretty smushed in around the metro area here that it's very easy to get confused! I still have never done the EMP even though I have always wanted, oops. I'm all for Iver's even though I'm mildly allergic to seafood. FISH'N CHIPS OMNOMNOM. TATTOOS ARE FUN. I have a friend who got a very gorgeous one at a shop near Pike Place, and there are several other awesome places in Seattle that I know of. I've been itching to get another one soon, I just need to save up the $$ (and decide on something, LOL)

I can make it work whichever way works best for you guys! I do think that Seattle on a Friday would be much easier than a Saturday, though you're right, both will be somewhat full of traffic and such. OH WAIT. I just went and looked and Saturday night is the Torchlight Parade, which is part of Seafair, which is the big summer festival thing here. It's a lot of fun (in a dorky way, I guess) if you guys are interested, but it also means that downtown is gonna be mental. Friday will probably be busy downtown as well just because of that, but infinitely less busy that downtown on the day of the parade.

I can't believe I get to see you in like, barely over a month! :D

Well to be honest we didn't actually take the EMP tour. It was kind of expensive and we were like uuuhhh whoa! So we didn't however that might be way cool this time around! Well then you just won't be able to eat any Clam Chowder which is fine because MORE FOR ME! HA HA HAAAA! Hee! And there Fishn' Chips? TOTES NOM! Gah! Also at EMP they have a restaurant that was actually pretty decent! But I would rather eat at Iver's. It's kind of a family thing.

TATTOOS ARE WAY FUN! I REEAAAALLLLYYY want a freaking fandom tattoo and I think I want a barcode from Dark Angel! HAHAHA I AM SUCH A DORK! BUT HOW AWESOME WOULD THAT BE?!? Either that or a LOTR one. MAYBE BOTH! HMMMMMMM?!

Yeah. I think we may just have to deal and drive straight through. I'll talk to Sarah about it and see if she's still cool with the idea. I'd also rather have more time in Vancouver so as to not be going DAMN I WANTED TO GO HERE AND HERE and not have the time...but who knows. I think my car will be up for that crazy of a drive. She's a toughie. But yeah if there is a festival/parade going on then downtown it's going to be NUTS! And I would rather not park a gagillion miles away from anything. We probably will already have to park a million miles away anyway. Heh. I think we will probably be showing up at your place on Thursday though. I just decided. HAH!

I KNOW I AM SO EXCITED!!! ITS GOING TO BE AWESOMESAUCE!

My cousin's family gets free passes to EMP so I've always wanted to go with them as it would be FREE, but so far it's never worked out. Most people I know who live around here uh, haven't actually gone either, as it's expensive. I LOVE the Ivar's clam chowder and used to eat it a lot (there's an Ivar's right by my Mom's house and also they have it at the Mariner's games!) but the last time I tried I got sick, so none for me. :( But mmm, the fish'n chips are SO GOOD.

It's sad that all I really want are more fandom tattoos, I just have to decide. OMG A DARK ANGEL BARCODE TATTOO IS AWESOME. And ahaha, I am a dork because I already have a LOTR tattoo! :D I want another, though.

I've only been to Vancouver a handful of times and never spent enough time there, so, the more time the better! :D

Parking in Seattle pretty much sucks all the time unless you're willing to pay for it. I am lazy and despite being poor, usually park in an expensive lot rather than far away and free, so, I dunno. It's just ... Seattle is all hills, and parallel street parking on a hill? check no!

Thursday would be totally awesome and okay! I am going to try and take like, Fri - Tuesday off from work, it should work out just fine. :D And also try and get my sister to watch my dog that weekend. Once I get that squared away I will be definite on the Vancouver thing, whee.

Yeah its like 30 bucks to walk around this little music thing. I was like um wow. That's kind of expensive for no rides! HAHAHAHA! But I am usually a cheap ass! And with gas the way it is BLAH! BUT it might be cool...something to think about for SURE! Awwwww!! That seriously SUCKS! Their clam chowder is the best! I wonder why it made you sick?! Thats completely lame, but the fish and chips will totally just as nom.

DOESN'T THAT SOUND SO FREAKING COOL?!?! ESPECIALLY IF I GOT IT IN SEATTLE!?! I HAVE GOTTEN SO ADDICTED TO THAT SHOW ITS RETARDED! Ok. I decided. I am getting both the lotr one and the barcode. I don't even care. It will be AMAZING!

Parking does suck. I like your idea of parking at the Space Needle and taking the monorail. *nods* Lets do that for sure!

Dude, Sarah and I are totally online you should come JOIN US!

For some reason as I get older more and more seafood makes me ill. It used to just be crab/lobster, but now I can't eat anything with any kind of shellfish at all in it, clams, shrimp, scallops, anything. BOO.

I am retarded because I totally didn't even make the Dark Angel/Seattle connection at first, AHAHAHA. I know it's supposed to be in Seattle but I always forget because y'know, it's so not Seattle. LOL. YAY TATTOOS. I will seriously find out about good places for ya'll, and possibly get something myself, ahaha.

DUDE, as soon as I take the doggie for her nightly walk (really quick) I will hop online! I can only stay for a bit as I'm supposed to be to wrok at 6am tomorrow, but still.

Way BOO! Cuz shellfish is AMAZING! However all of a sudden one day I became really allergic to fruit. It was WEIRD. Allergies kind of blow. Hahah!

Yeah it's totally NOT Seattle except with they show the Space Needle that looks retarded. HAHAHA but STILL! I am kind of thinking it will be amazing. YAAAAAAAYY THANK YOU!! THAT WOULD BE SO AWESOME IF YOU COULD FIND SOME!!! YAYAYAYAY!!!

AND YAAAAAYY!!! OK COME ON SOON!!

DUDE, I have a question! Is there any possible way that we could leave your house the day I arrive? On the 23rd, to drive up to Kate's? Because yeah, it would kind of suck doing the 7 hour drive probably mostly at night, but then we could sleep in the next day and do maybe a little bit of sight-seeing around Kate's and then head out sometime in the afternoon or something. Hmm. The only thing I keep thinking about is that if we're gonna go through I-2 it's gotta actually be light to SEE everything. I dunnoooo. Maybe not on the day I fly in, then. JUST THROWING OUT IDEAS, HAHA.

I definitely think we're gonna have to leave Kate's that same day we get there. The only thing I worry about, AGAIN, is WHEN we'd be leaving, so we could actually SEE the scenery, heh. I'm so annoying, I know.

Also, because apparently they DON'T film on the weekend (unless we're just lucky) maybe it would be best to just skip Glacier? As much as I don't want to do that, sigh. But it would give us an extra half-day to a day in Vancouver, so. Hmm.

OH, PS:

HMMMM! :DDDD

Aw, dude, don't even worry about it! I know how real life gets.

Edmonds! Awesome! Less driving time, YAY! Ooh, and close to the water it looks like, too!

YAY! I mean, it doesn't have to be EVERYTHING in Seattle, 'cause obviously it's a big city and we've only got about a day, but yeah, Pike's Place and the Needle would be awesome! I bet it costs money to go up in there, like the John Hancock tower in Chicago. But YAY, so awesome if you could show us around!

AND EEE YES! And I would DEFINITELY love to have Kwen along to show us around, hee. I'm pretty sure you're right about them not filming on the weekend, hmm. Mostly likely we'll do the Saturday, Sunday, Monday thing, then. Maybe even Tuesday too if we completely take out going to Glacier, which we might if we're having too much fun in Vancouver. That way we'd have two days to sight-see and two days to, uhm, SCOPE OUT. You know. HEH.

YAYAYAY OH GOD BABE I'M SO EXCITED I COULD PUKE. <3333

Yes! I do live pretty close to the water. Right after I moved here I tried to sort of find my way somewhere without paying attention and ended up on a twisty turny road down a hill looking out over Puget Sound. It was pretty cool.

Yay! I know Pike Place pretty well (my Dad used to work a few blocks from there so when I was a teenager I used to hitch a ride with him and hang out all day while he worked) but I actually haven't been in ages so it will be nice to hang out down there. It does cost $$ to go up the Needle and I'd only really recommend it if it's something you really want to do as it's yeah, like going up the John Hancock tower. Pretty, but $$! It's still way cool even to go to the Seattle Center and see it even if you don't go up. When I take people from out of town around I usually go down there, park near the Needle at the Seattle Center, take the monorail down to Westlake Mall, and then walk down to Pike Place (it's not that far).

That sounds like a good idea re: Vancouver! :D It's a great city just to sight-see in, so the more time there the better, LOL.

Homg that's so awesome! Dude, depending on how much it is, I think I might be willing to go up on the Needle, hee. Oh my God, LAUREN, I'M SO EXCITED. MONORAILS AND FISH THROWING!!!
