Okay, so, uh. Just for the record, because I'm not necessarily a fan of slash, Wincest or otherwise (I KNOW, I'm like, that .0001% of the population, whatever, it does nothing for me, SORRY), you all do realize that I'd NEVER consider ousting you guys or, UH, go so far as to tell you NOT TO BE, RIGHT? Crazypants aren't a part of my wardrobe! I love you guys! LET'S MAKE DAISYCHAINS.

Okay, no SCRATCH THAT, I do kind of hold a bit of a grudge against you guys, because I see all these ideas running rampant in Wincest fics and NOT AT ALL in het fics, like, OKAY, dominence play, which, nggghh. SERIOUSLY, Dean needs to be all trying to get laid and this CHICK keeps grabbing his wrists and trying to pin him down and he's like, what the HELL, and she's like, on your back, cowboy, and then he's all, OH MY GOD. C'MON, WHERE THE HELL IS THIS KIND OF STUFF.

And that's all I have to say about that. *Sits on hands*

I cannot WAIT to finish my paper because I've got these two writing ideas floating around in my head, the first of which makes me ridiculously GLEEFUL, the second which will hopefully be my first ever successful multi-chapter fic. I even wrote an outline! GENIUS. *Lame* I'm just trying not to jinx it at this point! :x

My parents are gone for the weekend, my sister has more a life than I do, I've had some wine, and Ladytron is most definitely NOT playing at a reasonable volume. EMERGENCY DANCE PARTY STAT.

i think it's because those who like the slash/wincest stuff, the dominance/kink stuff is ... not necessarily believable but easier to write. I don't read the het stuff because the chicks always annoy me. except your stuff. and charolette's. and chrissy's. I just... majority of the het stuff the chicks are nauseating. I'm so picky. Ugh. Anyway, yeah. Plus it's really hard to find good ruby or bella recreations. they're pretty complex characters with a specific voice and pairing those two with the boys are kinda... i dunno, weird? Anyway that's just MHO.

That's pretty true! I've heard a lot of clamouring through fandom saying that the reason they don't read het is because the character of the girl is HORRIBLE or whatever, and whether that's a misconception or not, I don't know. It could have been just that one fic that turned them off, or whatever. Sad stuff. But hey, maybe take a gander through my del.icio.us links, see if you can find anything you like? :D

Actually I'm kind of UHM, sorry you have to scroll through my "NNNNGGH Ryan can pass out drunk on Michael's hotel bed ANYTIME" posts ahahaha (although seriously I'm like .0001% of that fandom's population. Slash fans can be rare, too!)

But uhm, ANYWAY. Wincest still does nothing for me, and it probably never will. I have read a few fics to see if the authors' creative visions could convince me otherwise, because, all right, I'm curious and like to hurt myself, but even when the stories were critically acclaimed by fandom I just couldn't SEE IT, you know? Supernatural gen and het fic are my babies. \o/

I read J2 more than wincest these days, but then I do love pretty boys doing naughty things to each other. have for years. Started with Oz, then hockey and now SPN. But the weird thing is, while I write hockey slash, i only ever write het J2. I don't post it cuz I never finish it. And i barely write now as it is. I'm like totally contradictory.

oh oh oh and i much prefer AU in both, than canon. Like I'm not a fan of J2 as SPN actors. And my favourite wincests are actually when Sam and Dean either aren't related, or they're taken out of hunting but used to. Or they grew up separately so don't see themselves as brothers. Or there's some sort of ... extreme event that caused it.

See now, I used to be totally squicked by the Wincest and J2. Then I read this one fic that just KILLED ME AND MADE ME CRY LIKE A BABY (it was wincest), and I haven't looked back since, lol. But I've never condemned anyone for liking something that I don't. That's just retarded. As long as no one's forcing any kind of opinion on anyone else, we should all be able to coexist in this fandom. Though sadly there are those who just can't (or WON'T) see that. I'm glad you have more class than that. :)

Hee! I can't quite wrap my head around elaborate AU's like those too, for some reason, because most of time I'll be reading them I'm like, "But... but! I want it be LIKE NORMAL omg WAAAIL!" I think there's a few though, that I've found that I really like.

UM, if it makes you feel any better, I've never felt any interest towards genderswap until I read this one fic the other day and I was like, ohhhohhhsldkjasld. WHUPS.

If you're looking for anything specific, this is quite possibly the hottest het (with, uh, a little threesome thrown in there too, if that's your thing, KIND OF, YES) I've ever read. zelost_mind's stuff is amazing. For long and plotty and so deliciously angsty I very much recommend reading in small doses, big_pink writes the most amazing, novel-like fic in this fandom, hands down. Her stuff is kind of epic. But UH, yeah, peruse! Hope you can find something you like! :D
