Haha, okay, so! To explain myself a little bit better from my last post: I'm going to Comic Con! This was a very last minute decision, something that I don't do at ALL. But I thought a lot about it, and everything concerning it, and this is basically what I've come up with:

- I'm 20. I'm still living with my parents, no bills, no nuthin'. This just might be the only time I ever get to do something like this, as next year I'm planning on moving out. So I didn't plan this months in advance. So WHAT. I've never been spontaneous in my life, and this is a good thing to practice not being so.

- I've got a very good amount of money saved up, but all the same, I'm a very, uhm, shall we say, frugal person. Which is why spending over $400 on this plane ticket kind of hurts my insides a little. BUT, I will get over it VERY quickly when, you know, I see Jared and Jensen standing right the hell in front of me. OKAY. My bank account will rebuild itself. Eventually.

- This isn't, um, however, the only trip I'll be making this soon. July 27th-29th is this, and August 14th-21st I'll be in Utah visiting mah peeps. Even though my plane ticket is already paid for, I'll still need spending money, etc. And, uh, did I mention that I'm going to go to [livejournal.com profile] winchestercon in October? Because I am. Yeeeaaaah.

- The parents were mildly freaked when I told them about Utah. I'm surprised their heads didn't expload when I told them about Comic Con. My mom, God bless her, is very supportive but still nine kinds of worried, and my dad, really, doesn't want me to go at all, or at least cancel ONE of my trips because apparently three trips in three months is too much?? Which, NO. There's no way I'm backing out of anything now. I get it from their standpoint, I really do: I'm up and suddenly visiting people they have NO idea about, going to a city that I've never been to before and navagating it with another someone whom they, yet again, have NO idea about, and etc. But at the same time, I want them to understand that I love and need to do things like this to prove to myself that I'm capable of being on my own and managing situations and whatnot. It's my own money, too, and if I go broke for a little while... well, I dunno. I hardly ever splurge on myself, and yeah, they're pretty damn big splurges, by why the hell not, you know? I wanted to travel so bad, and this is my opportunity. Why can't I take it without feeling guilty?

But yeah. Neil Gaiman and Joss Whedon and Mike and the bots from MST3K and JARED AND JENSEN AND KRIPKE OMFG. YOU GUYS. I am not lying when I say I've had (and am going to have) a terminal case of butterflies in my stomach until it's over. If I don't puke it'll be a MIRACLE. So yes. [livejournal.com profile] logicandchaos and I have a hostel booked that is like, FIVE MINUTES from the convention center, and pretty much all you're going to hear about for a while afterwards about this is THESE PICS blah blah blah and how stupid I am for Jensen. Which. I kind of do anyway now, so, uh.

And, umm, just because I should probably talk about something else, I'm kind of in LOVE with Flight of the Concords. YAYE.

Okay. So, MAYBE, there's a *slight* possibility we could work this out. [livejournal.com profile] mosaic is on my FList and she lives in San Diego. She offered to ask her roommates if it would be okay for us to crash there. The problem is that, she said she checked the bus commutes and stuff for us, and it would be over an hour to get to the convention center and then, of course, over an hour to get to her place, and then I'm assuming the same amount of time to get back to the airport...unless we just stayed at her place Friday night, stayed at the Con as long as possible on Saturday night, then just headed straight to the airport and waited for our flight. I told her if this works out, I'd totally buy her a Saturday badge, since she was expressing interest in wanting to see the SPN and MST3K panels. (So I think I'm gonna take a gamble on there being Friday badges left when I get paid.)

But I'm thinking this is a long shot. If I was one of her roommates, I'd tell her she was out of her mind! haha....oooh, I should ask her how much that bus ride would cost...

Thoughts?

But then I just realized that would mean carrying our bags around the Con, since we wouldn't have anywhere to put them...unless...does the airport maybe have lockers we could use? ARGH. This is so frustrating!

Okay, awesome! That's better than nothing, I guess, seeing as how I'm TOTALLY more than willing to sleep at the airport, ahaha. Yeah, definitely! If she and her roommates are cool with it. I'll definitely pitch in some money to help pay for the badge, 'cause seriously.

The airport might have lockers! The con might even have them too. Hmm. If not, I'll just carry around the most meager of my items in a backpack, or something, heh.
