Date: 2007-07-13 10:18 pm (UTC)ALSO. I know you haven't gotten a plane ticket yet, but do you know about what time your return flight would be leaving? Because the cheapest one for me leaves really early in the morning, and I don't really want to do that, but if your flight is leaving early too, then there's no reason for me to take a later flight (noon).
I don't think I can wait two whole weeks!!!

Now pretty much the only way I can get there (also the cheapest way) in time for Gaiman is to depart at 9:30 p.m. Thursday, have a 1 hour layover in Las Vegas, then eventually get to San Diego after 1:00 in the morning. Do you think it would be possible just for me to wait there at the airport for you? I don't want to leave the airport by myself, and I don't want to pay for another night at the hostel. I think you said your flight would come in at 12:00 noon? Is it at all possible for you to take a flight that comes in a little earlier?
Dammit, I'm kinda freaking out now!
P.S. Sorry for kinda flooding your inbox! D:

Date: 2007-07-14 03:39 am (UTC)Okay! Um! My name is Sarah Howell, I'm 20 (five days younger than you!), I work at Starbucks and I'm a literature major at the University of South Florida, and I am definitely NOT a psycho, ahaha! But what's hilarious is that my parents are asking the same thing, heee! My mom's like, "But we don't even KNOW them!" and I'm like, "BUT I DO, SO IT'S OKAY OMG." But really, if there are any problems, I'm sure we could do the whole your-mom-can-talk-with-my-mom thing, hee!
As for the plane situation, ack oh no! I'd so hate for you to sleep in the airport and everything to wait for me! But, um... okay, let me think. I'm spotting a few flights that come in around 10am or 11am, so that I could definitely do. I can't buy a ticket tonight, though, as I'm just about to go out of town for the night and won't be back until tomorrow evening, but seriously, I'm to the point where money is no object for me now, ahaha! We're going to MAKE this thing work, dammit, and I can always rebuild the cash later. But yes! If you can't find another time than that, I will DEFINITELY catch an earlier flight to get to San Diego as early as I can. Hell, I'll see if I can't catch a red-eye flight and see if I can make it in the middle of the night! We can totes spend a night in the airport, right? It's not like we'll be sleeping... to excited, hee!
Actually, I just checked, and yes, YES, the flights are not only CHEAPER on Thursday night but there's one for 9:30pm getting me there at 1:12am! I don't know my schedule at work on Thursday (because I definitely don't want to take off more days than I have to, haha), but if I'm not working at night, I'll take that flight.
Also, I think the Comic Con badge pick-up on Saturday starts at 9:30am, so we are DEFINITELY getting there early, ahaha! I will wake up early no matter what the cost. That way we can get our badges as soon as possible and have ourselves a nice long sit down to wait until 2:45 when the magic begins. HEEEEEE!!!
Omg SORRY FOR THE NOVEL but OMG OMG I'M SO EXCITED I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO. ALDKSJFA;LSDFKJ!!!

Date: 2007-07-14 04:50 am (UTC)We can definitely spend the night at the airport! I've done all the digging I can possibly think to do, and it looks like that's the only flight available for me. I am hoping TO DEATH that you can make that 9:30 flight! That would make me breathe a little easier, but if not, I can make it on my own. I'm not buying the ticket tonight either, and probably not until Monday after I request those days off (unless I see the plane if filling up FAST, I'll be keeping an eye on it). The other sucky thing about this is that I have to hope like mad that Friday badges won't sell out before *next* weekend when I get paid. This weekend, I'll only have enough left over for Saturday's after I buy the plane ticket. BUAHsdklasd
Hahaaha, OMG. I'll be impressed if I sleep AT ALL on this trip. But if I do, WORD on the bright and early thing. NO WAY am I missing anything because I didn't freakin' wake up on time.
OH! And I guess I could return the favor! I'm Sarah Emmers, I work in Order Entry typing at a big printing company, I'm about to be a sophomore at Minnesota State University, working on my generals now but will probably major in Creative Writing, and I'm too damn shy to be a psycho.
I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!! EEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
