Haha. Yay. YAY. I finished and set off my [livejournal.com profile] spn_summergen fic this morning. 8300+ words. HAHAHA. Good Lord. I myself can't post it until after the author reveal, because it is a SECRET omg, so y'all have to guess. Which, um, now might be easier, seeing as how I gave the word count. Heh.

And NOW I have this sort of companion piece I want to write ALREADY, and, um, it would be kind of porntastic and that makes me NERVOUS because I have never written such before. Except of the 100 word variety. I am so, SO utterly unqualified to write such things. SIGH.

I finished Twilight a few nights ago! It was good! Not, you know, mindblowingly spectacular, but entertaining and a ridiculously quick read. I'll probably get the sequal after I finish my huge ass book list for this summer, heh. Next is The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Nighttime. HOORAY.

HOW'S IT GOING FLIST. I went to the beach this afternoon, despite it being v. overcast. And now it is all sunny out. AUGH, FLORIDA. But now I am about to eat PIZZA and that makes me HAPPY.

Heya!

I'm grand-been a little bit busy but things are calming a little. The weather sucks big time over here though!

Re: writing porn without real-life experience

I think I said this to you before, but it was actually easier for me to write sex scenes when I was still a virgin. I think it has to do with real-life experience coloring what you write, because in real life, sex can be wonderful, but its also messy and silly and parts of it just aren't romantic at all. So don't be afraid to use your imagination. If I were you I would enjoy not having the real-life experiences to color your writing.

Can't wait to read the summergen fic, and also can't wait to read the companion piece.

*sigh* I should go to the beach. I haven't been to a beach in a long time. Except I wouldn't be caught dead in a swimsuit in public. Yannow.

Eeep eeep! WELL. Maybe I shall give it a shot. It's actually that little idea you presented me with! I liked it so much I wanted to make it into another full piece, hee!

OMG so, this time next year? I will most likely have my own apartment, WHICH MEANS, y'all will have to come down here an visit me! Beach times yay!

TWILIIIIIIIIGHT! :D

I'm still not done! I was just blowing right through it until this annoying thing called 'life' invaded and took up all my time :( I'm about a quarter from the end! \o/ I agree, it's not like "omg, best book ever" it's more about the characters [insert overused exclamation points proceeding a certain characters name]. It's nice to have books that are easy to read, thats why HP seems so relaxing. Sometimes the brain doesn't need complex literature when you just want to enjoy a story with great characters/plot!

Yes, exactly! It was enjoyable without having to go through and decipher the meaning of this or that. The preview of the next book at the end left me REALLY curious, so I guess I'll have to get through my book list pretty quickly, hehe.

Twilight stayed with me for days and days after I finished it. I just finished New Moon (the sequel) two days ago and I feel very attached to Edward and Bella (and Jacob, and Alice, you'll see), so I long for Eclipse to be done so I can breeze through that too. New Moon was very emotional for me, also - I actually at one point threw the book down on my bed and shouted, "Oh my GOD!" But maybe that just because I'm quirky or something, heh.

The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Nighttime was so good. Amazing writing in it's own way. You'll sink right into that world too.

Keep listing any great books you find, okay? It's so much better when the recommendations come from someone I know, heh.

And I'm excited to read your story! *jumps up and down with you*

I thought it was a FANTASTIC storyline, and honest to goodness I had trouble putting it down myself. But, I don't know what it is, I just have a hard time getting drawn into ANY plot that's heavy on romance. Same thing happened to me with Lost.

Aww, I loved Alice! She was so cute. And HEEEE omg I can't wait to get to the next one then!

Oh, definitely! I need to make a run to Barnes and Noble again and stock up. And I need a new bookshelf. I'm quickly running out of room. Hee.

♥!

I tried to go to the beach today. But I was wearing running shorts for my workout, and I just wanted to read for the half-hour before my workout. and, I guess its trufax: you cannot wear shorts to a beach in San Francisco without freezing your ass off!! It was the wind more than anything, but it sucked, i ended up just sitting in my car reading cause I was too cold on the beach itself. oh well :/
I wish you luck on your pornfic. maybe this summer I will actually have time to read fic, and if I do, I will try to read yours (:

When I went to California (LA/Malibu/Santa Clare) I was shocked at how cold it got! We were there in May and it was so cold omg! Well. Probably like, 67 degrees, haha. So windy, though! I kind of loved it, though going to the beach sounds like a bit of an endurance test, heh.

Heee, thanks! Hopefully I will gather the courage to write it.
