So how's that pie.
Jun. 14th, 2007 11:10 pmOrlando = GOOD TIMES. The city was nice too. HA HA I'm hilarious. We watched POTC 2. ...Um.
ANYWAY. Included was me getting lost (duh), a healthy dose of shopping, getting sufficiantly tipsy while playing Circle of Death, best drinking game EVER and also it is very much confirmed that I just get sleeeeeepy while tipsy/drunk and that is NO FUN AT ALL OMG SOREEEE, laughing our ASSES off at macros (300 OKAY, don't hate), and having srs fandom discussion. All in all, A+ WOULD VISIT AGAIN.
Okay, so, Mute Math? Did a cover of the Transformers theme and it is seriously AMAZING. Mute Math is amazing anyway, so.
My sister and I just got back from Ocean's Thirteen and I LOVED it ahaha omg. Those movies are seriously my guilty pleasure. Also, Brad Pitt. Hello.
FUCK.
Okay, so. This whole time I'm reading my flist and catching up on everything and pretty much the whole fandom EXPLOSION, and I'm seriously sitting here and trying not to freak out because I'm a spoilerphobe so bad it's not even funny, but yeah, like I said, explosion, and I'm nervous as hell and trying not to be. And then, someone posted something on Samantha Ferris' new interview, and HI, HELLO, very much neglecting to mention the fucking thing right there. Son of a bitch. I now know what it entails, but I don't know the casting, and I don't WANT to, and seriously, this is the same damn thing that happened with the whole "Dean getting a girlfriend" debacle. Because that was kind of huge too, if I remember. And look where that went. I don't... I don't know what to do, really, sad/mad/interested/confused/indifferent... I don't KNOW. After all the fuss that was raised with Jo, and after all the times Kripke and Co mentioned how that storyline "just didn't flow"... I mean, I don't know. In nearly every damn interview Kripke acknowledges that this is about FAMILY and about the boys, and I wouldn't expect it to change that quickly.
So... maybe I'm wondering if these spoilers are valid? This fandom, it seems, like's to make the hugest fuss EVER even before we've seen the final outcome, and honest to God, I have no problem WHATSOEVER letting the writers and creators take the wheel and drive, because yeah, they might be the ones who know what they're doing! It's possible. So... like I said, I don't know. I mean, there was even a post about taking action to WRITE A PETITION to the writers about this whole thing, good freaking Lord, which makes me confused, frustrated, and really damn scared. Is this REALLY that bad? How in the HELL am I going to wait until September to find out?
I don't want to find out more than I know, really, but, um, I could use some reassurance? And hand-holding? Hand-holding would be nice. I just don't know what to DO. *Frets*

Don't fret!
Date: 2007-06-15 04:03 am (UTC)God, trailed off there. Anywho. All I am gonna say is: People are overreacting. I'll admit I got a little crazed at first but can you blame me? I read the sides and cooled down. And that's all I'm gonna say.

Date: 2007-06-15 10:01 am (UTC)II. We already know that the producers pay attention to the internet buzz. I'm of the opinion that not only would they not write something that didn't flow or that wasn't true to the characters, but I also wouldn't put it past them to start rumors and spoilers just to see what the reaction is.
And I don't know what else you know, so I don't want to add any to any kind of spoilers you might have had already. I don't know a *lot* but I don't know what you know, either.
Oh, and hey, I had a thought.... we should all bring CDs to do a CD exchange when we get to Utah. What do you think?

Date: 2007-06-16 06:15 am (UTC)Also, remembering back, this is nearly the EXACT same thing that happened when it was announced that Ellen and Jo (and maybe even Ash) would be stepping on to the scene, and I fell in love with the Roadhouse characters, so. Nearly every female character does (or did) have such character, and I've been really pleased thusfar, so... who knows! I really think Kripke et al could do something fantastic with this, if they play their cards right.
Eeee YES, that is a fantastic idea! Though, haha, I don't really have CDs much anymore. Most everything is stored on my iPod, but I can just as easily burn some songs onto CDs, so. OMG LESS THAN TWO MONTHS NOW. *Spazz!*
