Orlando = GOOD TIMES. The city was nice too. HA HA I'm hilarious. We watched POTC 2. ...Um.

ANYWAY. Included was me getting lost (duh), a healthy dose of shopping, getting sufficiantly tipsy while playing Circle of Death, best drinking game EVER and also it is very much confirmed that I just get sleeeeeepy while tipsy/drunk and that is NO FUN AT ALL OMG SOREEEE, laughing our ASSES off at macros (300 OKAY, don't hate), and having srs fandom discussion. All in all, A+ WOULD VISIT AGAIN.

Okay, so, Mute Math? Did a cover of the Transformers theme and it is seriously AMAZING. Mute Math is amazing anyway, so.

My sister and I just got back from Ocean's Thirteen and I LOVED it ahaha omg. Those movies are seriously my guilty pleasure. Also, Brad Pitt. Hello.

FUCK.

Okay, so. This whole time I'm reading my flist and catching up on everything and pretty much the whole fandom EXPLOSION, and I'm seriously sitting here and trying not to freak out because I'm a spoilerphobe so bad it's not even funny, but yeah, like I said, explosion, and I'm nervous as hell and trying not to be. And then, someone posted something on Samantha Ferris' new interview, and HI, HELLO, very much neglecting to mention the fucking thing right there. Son of a bitch. I now know what it entails, but I don't know the casting, and I don't WANT to, and seriously, this is the same damn thing that happened with the whole "Dean getting a girlfriend" debacle. Because that was kind of huge too, if I remember. And look where that went. I don't... I don't know what to do, really, sad/mad/interested/confused/indifferent... I don't KNOW. After all the fuss that was raised with Jo, and after all the times Kripke and Co mentioned how that storyline "just didn't flow"... I mean, I don't know. In nearly every damn interview Kripke acknowledges that this is about FAMILY and about the boys, and I wouldn't expect it to change that quickly.

So... maybe I'm wondering if these spoilers are valid? This fandom, it seems, like's to make the hugest fuss EVER even before we've seen the final outcome, and honest to God, I have no problem WHATSOEVER letting the writers and creators take the wheel and drive, because yeah, they might be the ones who know what they're doing! It's possible. So... like I said, I don't know. I mean, there was even a post about taking action to WRITE A PETITION to the writers about this whole thing, good freaking Lord, which makes me confused, frustrated, and really damn scared. Is this REALLY that bad? How in the HELL am I going to wait until September to find out?

I don't want to find out more than I know, really, but, um, I could use some reassurance? And hand-holding? Hand-holding would be nice. I just don't know what to DO. *Frets*

Don't fret!

I don't want to spoil you, but they aren't going to be girlfriends from the sides I've read. I mean, the sides are only 3 pages for each. I swear if I were 18, I'd drive up to Van, BC and AUDITION myself. I'd try to persuade and ad-lib the script and talk with Kripke about how I'd want things to be. But damn if I'm not 18 for another year and a half! Fucking sucks, i don't even WANT to act. I want to be behind the scenes. Or, er, in the very least designing promos/DVD menus. I'd LOVE to do something along the lines of that. I wonder how one gets into that business...

God, trailed off there. Anywho. All I am gonna say is: People are overreacting. I'll admit I got a little crazed at first but can you blame me? I read the sides and cooled down. And that's all I'm gonna say.

Hee, yeah, from the very small snippet that I so unfortunately stumbled upon, I knew they weren't girlfriends, buuut, I am still kind of wary. And a little intrigued and interested to see where this goes. HM.

Dude, I would KILL to have a behind-the-scene job up there! UGH. JENSENCANIBEYOURPAOMGKTHX.

what are sides?? I'm so confused, I only know what the spoilers are, not really where they came from.

I think sides are pieces of the actual script? Though I'm not sure, I never look at them, heh.

Sides are just scripts. Really early versions of scripts meant to be there for the auditioning of characters.

You can download them at NowCasting.com (I don't have the link right now, but I can get them to you if you still want them and comment back). And sometime, sides aren't even part of the script, but rather something the writers made to find the actors for the characters.

i think it's fandom being OCD again.

I'm trying to think of a time when fandom is not OCD and, hm, yep. Drawing a blank.

Scully looks rather disappointed in your icon. :((

IT'S ALL TRUE.

I. From what I've seen, it isn't even a rumor of the boys having girlfriends, it's just some additional female characters added to the "regulars" (which probably just means they will be in more than one episode, hello) and people are jumping to their own conclusions about it.

II. We already know that the producers pay attention to the internet buzz. I'm of the opinion that not only would they not write something that didn't flow or that wasn't true to the characters, but I also wouldn't put it past them to start rumors and spoilers just to see what the reaction is.

And I don't know what else you know, so I don't want to add any to any kind of spoilers you might have had already. I don't know a *lot* but I don't know what you know, either.

Oh, and hey, I had a thought.... we should all bring CDs to do a CD exchange when we get to Utah. What do you think?

After thinking about it a good long while, I have to wonder if maybe the boys might have hinted to the writers to bring on some new characters because their workload is just so huge. I feel for them, I really do, so hopefully this will help a bit?

Also, remembering back, this is nearly the EXACT same thing that happened when it was announced that Ellen and Jo (and maybe even Ash) would be stepping on to the scene, and I fell in love with the Roadhouse characters, so. Nearly every female character does (or did) have such character, and I've been really pleased thusfar, so... who knows! I really think Kripke et al could do something fantastic with this, if they play their cards right.

Eeee YES, that is a fantastic idea! Though, haha, I don't really have CDs much anymore. Most everything is stored on my iPod, but I can just as easily burn some songs onto CDs, so. OMG LESS THAN TWO MONTHS NOW. *Spazz!*

Actually, I was thinking of burning CDs anyway, since most of my music is on the hard drive of my computer. Though I have gotten some really nice new ones lately that I am itching to share with others, hehe.

*pokes* hey, if you're online, why don't you come on MSN? I'm there!

WOW at the Mute Math doing Transformers! That is just so full of win! I'm crazy excited to see Transformers.

I really loved Ocean's Thirteen also! I'm glad I'm not the only one. :)

Isn't it! I only saw them live once, not knowing who they were, but now that I'm a big fan I would KILL to see them again. Alas, they have yet to come back to my area. :(

why do you think these spoilers might not be valid? I thought they came from a decent source, didn't they? What was the source? but anyways. yeah. idk. I don't think it'll be the end of the world and i feel like a ton of people are overreacting, but what do i know? i didn't mind jo, so i think i'm much looser on this sorts of stuff than the rest of fandom is.

From: [identity profile] caithream.livejournal.com
Heh, well, I thought they weren't valid when they were just coming out... now that there's sources everywhere, I guess they pretty much are. And honestly, I don't think ANYONE should make a judgement call until we see it. Which is a loooong time from now. WAH.
