Jul. 30th, 2003 06:27 pmI GOT IT!! I got it! Thanks to my lovely sister! She comes to get me to ask if she can get rid of the browser that had theonering.net on it. I told her I would look at it. Turns out, the browser was still on before tORN had taken it down! I squeed (as I am wont to do) and saved it on to the family computer. I am now in the process of trying to transfer it over to mine. So, if she hadn't of asked beforehand.... Eee! I'm so excited! If anyone wants a looksee, I'll try to see if I can Zip file it and send it your way. Hooray! :D
Ahh, yeah. People are going to be all over this: Bush Shuns Calls to Legalize Gay Marriage. Well, guess what. Despite what probably over half the people in America think, I go against the grain. I commend him for that. I really do. Well, sure, it has a lot to do with my religion. I am not a homophobe, I just really have a problem with what they do. Disliking the people and disliking what they do are two totally different things. I'm very pleased that we have Bush for our President and not... urg... Al Gore. He'd go right away and agree with trying to do that.
Bush is an excellent man, I can tell you that. For instance, he said this: "I am mindful that we're all sinners and I caution those who may try to take a speck out of the neighbor's eye when they got a log in their own," the president said. "I think it is important for our society to respect each individual, to welcome those with good hearts."
The first part is basically straight out of the Bible. I really do respect him for this. And I know that people all across LJ are going to have a fit about it. But I can't/won't do anything more than sigh reproachingly (is that a word?). Ah, well. What can you do.
Going up to the library to see if I can get the next Harry Potter. Hmm. And, auugghh, school starts one week from today. Shoot me, please.
