The start of this semester has basically been a mess, as I got NONE of the classes I wanted. Pissed me off. And so, I had to settle. Which is never a good thing, ever.
Humanities. The hell, man. I feel like I'm back in high school. It's so ridiculously basic I don't know what to do with myself. Exactly why I wanted to take it over the summer instead. Unfortunately, there's a group project, which I kind of loathe (who doesn't?), but she isn't requiring us to get together, only that it has to be done. At least the class will be an easy A. That's nice.
Late Shakespeare. Oh. My. Word. In two words? Hardcore Shakespeare. I've never had a class where I took Shakespeare, as the year I was supposed to I took a dual enrollment course at my local college instead. So yeah. Having never studied Shakespeare and taking that class? Wow. I'm kind of a masochist when it comes to taking on challenges just for the sake of a good challenge, but I think I would be way over my head. Especially with the professor, who was just very... intense? Hahah, when I came in, though, she and this other guy was having a really in-depth discussion about Stephen King (which, of course, made me think of Drunken Sam-fu, SO, YOU KNOW), so that was kind of weird. Also, I have never read any Stephen King? Should I ammend this, my good friends? Will I lead a better existence if I do so? IS IT THE SAME WAY WITH SHAKESPEARE? Because I have only read Hamlet. I'm a really sucky (double) English major, oh man.
So, anyway. I dropped it, and signed up for Literature of the South. Oh goodness. My mom is pleased, if anything. I have no idea how this'll go, but I hope it'll be better, if anything. I still haven't fixed the fact that I like to have a good hour and a half in between classes to get work done (aka: write fic omg), and the only way I can do that now is if some class opens up on Tuesdays and Thursdays at 11:00-12:15. This sucks so bad, you guys. SUCKS SO BAD. I borrow Sam's bitchface for the occasion.
My poster came in today! LOVE.
This may or may not have been how my screen looked for most of the day. Mmmmmmhiiiiii.

Date: 2007-01-09 02:02 am (UTC)Ugh, group projects. I took a class in college where we had to regularly work in groups and so I got together with three other people, then they all dropped the class within the next week. Woe was me!

Shakespeare I like, but fuck studying him that in depth. And like, an in-depth discussion of stephen king? What the hell was that conversation like? *raises an eyebrow*

It was so weird! They were talking about character developement and King's sometimes overpronounced chauvinistic writing, and I'm like, "...shouldn't we be talking about Classics, or something?" Hee.
