Today sucked. It sucked so bad. I don't know what my problem was, but I was a mess all day. I almost didn't feel like going to Hannah's party, but I did, and I feel a lot better for it. It was her birthday, and the party was at, ahaha, a roller rink. Ahahah omg! I haven't been to one of those since I was in elementary. I PWNED rollerskating like nobody's business back in the day. No inline skates! The oldschool kind, complete with purple wheels and neon yellow laces. Oh man. WELL. I still OWN. Holy crap. It was so much fun. Even in gross, extremely well-used, oldschool skates. Har.

I've decided that I cannot read books like Being Committed or The Devil Wears Prada or some crap. I tried reading the former and found myself pretty much bored by page 10. So, Pride and Prejudice it is, then! (Because, um... I've never read it. I don't know why! I was never required to in high school. So I'm making up for things, I guess.)

I've never been rollerskating! We have no rinks out here in the wild wild west.

And books! Dude, I could talk about books forever! I'm reading River Teeth by David James Duncan (yay!) and I just love him so so much. Have you read The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier and Clay? It's one of my very favorites, too.

And I just realized that made it sound like he wrote that. He didn't. Michael Chabon did. Which is good, he's also very good.

*facepalm*

WHAAAAT. That was like, my childhood omg. CLEARLY you should come and visit and go rolleskating and be totally awesome. Heeeee.

Eeee, I haven't read either of those! David James Duncan amazed me to the max in The Brothers K, so I'll definitely check out River Teeth. Book rec's omg! *Takes notes*

I once tried to read a chicklit book called 'True Love (And Other Lies)'. ARGHHH GARBAGE! I couldn't finish it. Absolute piece of cliched shite!

I recommend Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz. I think you'd like it! :D

I'm so glad we feel the same way, ahaha! Chicklit. Oh man. Thanks but no thanks.

Ooh, thanks! I'm definitely putting this post in the memories. I can't get enough book rec's, it seems! :D

A book I'm fond of is Ties That Bind, Ties That Break by Lensey Namioka. But I wouldn't ever read The Scarlet Letter. I wanted to throw that book at the wall while reading it.

Ahahah, aww! I cannot stand Romanticism, but I really do love Nathanial Hawthorne. I found The Scarlet Letter enjoyable, heeee.

Yay, book rec's! Thanks! :D

Ahahah!! Oh man. Pretty much. It is very cliche, isn't it? I actually haven't read a lot of it, but now that I think about it, it is very much. Someone needs to break this trend, methinks.

I read The Devil Wears Prada a couple of weeks ago, and I really thought it had essentially no plot. You're just following the main character through the stresses of her job. Nothing really special and kind of depressing :/

Awesome, Pride and Prejudice! I haven't gotten to that book either actually. I bought it a while ago and now its stuffed somewhere in my bookshelf... *cough*

and I really thought it had essentially no plot.

I've heard that as well, which is surprising, as the movie was good-but-not-spectacular.

Ahaha, I bought it at a Flea Market! I was like, "Hmm... haven't read it... $1.50... MINE." Omg Flea Markets. ♥
