So my friends were over earlier, and seeing as how we had just finished watching Monsters, Inc., we were dicking around youtube for other animated movies made way back in the day that we remembered. Stumbling across The Rescuers, and The Rescuers Down Under made me super happy and incredibly nostalgic omg. Also, Fievel Goes West.
Seriously intense nostaglia aaaaahh! This part is my favorite favorite favorite, and made mini-me laugh myself sick. ALSO WYLIE WAS PLAYED BY JIMMY STEWART WHAT?! It makes it that much more amazing. And the villain is slightly less villainous, knowing now that he's played by John Cleese.
Oh Don Bluth. Expert at both creating and terrifying the memories of my childhood.
Tomorrow my mom and I are going to a nearby state park/natural spring to look for manatees. Seeing as how the ocean is about 55 degrees right now, all the manatees come chill inland in the springs, as the springs stay a constant 70/75 degrees. Sea cows! HOW FUN.
