Mar. 6th, 2007 03:01 pmBecause I so totally can multitask while writing my Lit of the South midterm, here is some music that I am kind of obsessed with yay!
Radiohead: Everything In It's Right Place, Everything In It's Right Place (I Might Be Wrong live recording), Idioteque, The Gloaming. (Softly Open Our Mouths in the Cold.)
Holy crap, I have an insane amount of love for Radiohead. They are brilliant. "Everything In It's Right Place" is definitely my favorite song of theirs, and if anything, download the first one. Kid A is my favorite album, followed very closely by Hail to the Thief. Seriously! Download!
Thom Yorke: And It Rained All Night
So, yes, well, Thom Yorke is the lead singer of Radiohead, but this is from his solo album, which, I might add, is almost as utterly brilliant as Kid A, and I have played this track, um... many many times. It's gorgeous and haunting and oh I love it so.
Patrick Wolf: Pumpkin Soup, The Railway House
Oh Patrick Wolf. Pumpkin Soup never fails to remind me of a autumn evening, bright yellow light streaming in at a low angle through the trees, cold and warmth and contentment and memories and augh this song. The Railway House is just absolutely lovely as well.
Mogwai: Auto Rock
Mogwai kicks ass omg. I loveloveLOVE instrumental rock such as this and Godspeed You! Black Emperor and Explosions in the Sky and whatnot, and while this is just a little bit different from their norm, it's still fantastic. From the new Miami Vice, I think? I don't know! Nor do I care. But seriously, this is a great piece.
Also, I am downloading The Very Best of Deep Purple. Hee!
Okay. Back to work. Even though I think my girly bits are staging a mutiny against my insides GAAH.
