Saturday my dad, cousin, his girlfriend, and myself went to the shooting range. It was fun! Like I said, I've never done anything like that before, but by the end of the session I could load a clip and set up pretty quickly. My cousin owns a Beretta and his girlfriend an awesome .22 caliber revolver, and my dad brought his old .22 rifles. The kick on the Beretta was pretty intense. And everything was very very loud, ha. Shells cover the ground EVERYWHERE, and if you get rained on by them from someone standing to your left, well, that's just a natural occurrence.

Saturday was also the day Comic Con tickets went on sale, which just turned out to be a huge clusterfuck. Somehow I managed to get all four days, while some of the people who I was going to go with, did not. Some did though, which, yay! but it just wasn't quite what we were expecting. So, ugh, I don't know now. Having these tickets is like gold apparently, because somehow ALL OF THE TICKETS were sold out in less than a day. I don't think that's ever happened before. But I'm not sure if I want to go when all my friends can't, you know? And it's not like Comic Con won't ever happen again. And I've been really wanting to visit NYC again, if my lovely NYC peeps will have me! So... the idea of giving up the tickets is not happymaking, but maybe it would just work out for the better? I don't know. I'll hold on to them for a little bit and see what happens.

I'm a pretty good shot, but I fucking hate guns. I loathe them. Years and years ago I shot a hunting rifle (forget what kind) as well as a 9mm Beretta, and while I was fine with the rifle, as soon as I touched the gun I developed and immediate distaste for it. I think I just realized that I could like... flick my wrist, and send a bullet off in a completely different direction, and I didn't like that much.

Rifles, I like though. :)

Sorry the Comic Con tix didn't work out so well, though. At least if you do decide to sell them you'll make a pretty penny!

Great you got the tickets. Wow, that's a fast sell and my first thought was who's going to be there and not Twilight again, I hope. Then I read the comments and am with people on how some may have purchased the tickets for the sole purpose to re-sell them at higher value.

That said, in the case you can't go, I'm sure it'll be easy to re-sell the tickets.

HA! Well, yes, that is true! On the front page of the Comic Con website it goes on and on that you can't resell them, etc, but... that would be pretty sweet. BUT HOW WOULD I KEEP THE COMIC CON POLICE OFF MY TAIL.

I definitely know what you mean. It's a little terrifying to think that one slip up with the thing in your hand could mean some serious damage. But I agree, I liked the rifle more than the handgun.

I reaaally wanted to go but the more they delayed, the more I realized that IDK if I'd have enough cash to do that trip along with like... 2 others I want to do this year. D: 3 vacation trips = me broke. I wanted to hang out w/ you at the con! Blarghhh.

...so allow me to be totally selfish and be all COME TO NYC, WE WOULD HAVE TO HAVE YOU. ;)

P.S. I bet next year they'll have stuff for Tron 3. JUST SAYING. ;D

:D Thanks! I think some of that was my dad's and my cousin's, but I think I did pretty good for the first time, hee. And, HA, yeah, I'm like, the exact mix of my dad and my mom.

Definitely! And if trying to decide between doing one fun thing or another is the least of my worries, I'm in pretty good shape, haha!

Ohhh Twilight. Lol oh man, I would not be surprised if that was the reason they sold so quickly. I think last year they put the Twilight stuff on Thursday, when there weren't many people there yet. GOOD THINKING.
