AIN'T NO PARTY LIKE A HURRICANE PARTY, 'CAUSE A HURRICANE PARTY is pretty cool if you have some liquor and a bunch of friends but if you live in an area where the power lines are kind of shoddy your power sometimes ends off for a couple days with zero AC in 100% humidity and nothing to do besides read a couple of books and play really really long games like Settlers of Catan or Mexican Train so it gets kind of boring after a while.

YEAHHHH

(I am kind of worried for my parents, though. Last I heard it's projected to hit St. Petersburg which is about forty-five minutes south of them, and my dad's an electrician and works for the county of Pinellas so he's pretty much going to have to be out in the thick of it, keeping the roads safe from fallen power lines and whatnot. So it'll be just my sister and my mom at home, ack. I just wish I was there with them. :()

Percy lost his collar somewhere in the apartment again (it's a saftey snap-off, so he likes to pull it off often) and we can't find it anywhere, which now leads to him walking into the room and scaring the shit out of me. I'M USED TO A BELL, NOT A NINJA CAT.

Oh man, naptime ahoy. After that, an oil change in my car and groceries. Stupid hurricane making everyone go into a stupid panic and making the stupid gas rise again just when it was going down. AUUGH.

They're freaking out here b/c there's a chance it will hit right over Cedar Key, which can't really handle a direct hit. :( Plus Cedar Key is only 1/2 hour from us.

We've got our candles and ice and Chef Boyardee; we're set.

Aw, dude. :( I hope it doesn't. If it goes a little more north, straight into Tampa, it'll be a freaking disaster-land. Hopefully St. Pete can handle the hit.

Chef Boyardee! Food of survival! Maybe I'll buy some Spam, haha!

*sends good vibes to your family*

Loose cats, dogs, birds, etc. should have bells. I'd be creeped out if one of them snuck up on me. They tend to do that... :/

My grandparents and all of my cousins live in Ft. Myers, so I'm a little worried for them. But yay! it's skipping right past my house!

We usually get the edge of hurricanes in Memphis. The strong wind and some rain. I couldn't live in Florida 'cause of the hurricanes but you and you family stay safe!

::glompglomp::

I heard about the hurricane this morning & I immediately wondered if you were in the path of it/how bad you would have it. I hope you & your family will be alright!

ARGH, NINJA KITTY.
