Last night's shift was so good! I worked with two really really nice people, and they kept praising me on my work, hee. Always good to hear. My first shift made me very much meh, I think because one or two people were a tad standoff-ish. So that didn't make me too thrilled and I was just feeling kind of bummed after the first shift. But hopefully I'll get to work with those two again because they were super nice. I also got invited to this bar next Sunday where they have a Beatles rendition night and there's apparently 100 different beers in stock there, SO YEAH. Might have to do that, hee!

I did take a look at my schedule though, and uh, wow. This Tuesday I have to be in by 6:45, which isn't that bad, but the week after next I open four days in a row. At 4:45. In the morning. Oh God. Fortunately they aren't too long, so I can just come back here and sleep, but wow. That's going to be interesting, heh.

So PRETTY MUCH last night we were scouting out motels for our 2-3 night stay in Vancouver next month, and Chrissy stumbled across the 2400 Court Motel. Cheap, good ratings, cute little bungalows. But what really matters?

SOMETHING WICKED, ACTUALLY.







HAHA YES OMFG SO AMAZING. So, HA, yeah, definitely booking a room there! HAHAHA.

EW. Unfun! I've never actually opened before in my year and a half at Starbucks, so this should be interesting, haha.

Most likely 7/26 (Saturday) through 7/28 or 7/29 (Monday or Tuesday). We'll probably do all the hunting down of the previous filming locations on Saturday and Sunday. Eee, you'd be so awesome for being our tour guide! :D

First days at work always feel weird. The coworkers may be the types who take a while to warm up to new people. I know I personally come off as distant sometimes at work. The second day be foreshadow things getting better.

Aw. That hotel is awesome! That sounds like loads of fun - just you know, don't let something that will suck out your essence and try to kill you. That's not a good idea lol.

The upside to having to be at work at 4:45am? YOU'RE A BARISTA. If you have to be at work that early, at least you have ENOUGH CAFFEINE TO GLUE YOU TO THE CEILING FOR HOURS ON END.

That hotel is totally awesome. You should totally get a little boy to lie in bed waiting for the shtriga, then pull out your .45 and blast a hole in its supernatural skull I mean, I'm sure you guys will have so much fun figuring out things to do while you're there.

I am so late in replying to this, but !!!!!. I absolutely love that we picked that motel out FIRST, and then it turned out to be THAT ONE. So awesome. CUTE LITTLE BUNGALOWS.

I'm still, uh, not 100% sure I can do the Vancouver thing (eep, I know!) but almost. I can for sure get Friday - Monday off, but I'm still negotiating on Tuesday, and I still haven't heard from my sister about the dogsitting. I have a back-up sister who might as well as several other possibilities, so it should work out.
