Well, ME, of course! Ahaha.

I think 2008 might be my defining year, if everything I have planned goes, uh, according to plan. This year was pretty damn awesome though. I turned 20. I went from a sophomore in college to a junior in college. I also went hopping around the US and met a TON of new people and old friends. TRAVELING IS LIKE, MY FAVORITE.

Somewhere in the middle of July logicandchaos was like, "Hrmmm I wish someone would go with me to Comic Con!" And I was like, "Well... uh... I have a little extra money... HELL, I'LL GO!" So we planned at like, lightning speed all the details of flying in to San Diego and had a minor panic attack of where the hell we were going to stay when the place I had booked a room and got a receipt for told us "Wtf we don't have any rooms available, what are you talking about!" But then the AWESOME tinted_glass let us crash at her place at UCSD and all was well. Comic Con itself was AMAZING, to say the least. And even though things were crazy and stressful, I am SO SO HAPPY to have met you both! Thank you again Mina for the place to stay, and Sarah! I hope I get a chance to meet up with you again, whether it be EyeCon or any other crazy SPN-related happy fun times. Hee! ♥

Big trip number two was the BIGLY HUGE MEETUP in August, finally, finally getting to meet idril_telrunya, flusteredspeech, and falterfrei after knowing them for a little over five years now. I mean, that's FOREVER in internet-time, you know? I met them when I was FIFTEEN, all the way back on an Elijah Wood fanboard (ahahah SHUT UP) when we fangirled LotR bigtime. And look at us now, fangirling bigtime over Winchesters. You guys, you're friendship and your love means SO MUCH to me. Sometimes I just miss being around y'all so much it's ridiculous. We BONDED, see, crying together on Chrissy's couch while watching AHBL 1 and 2. Ahaha. I miss y'all SO MUUUUUCH and I can't wait to see you (with added others, hee!) again soon! ♥

And then in October it was back to California for WINCHESTERCON oh man so amazing. So many new friends! spazzbot and hansbekhart and essenceofmeanin, deanbear25, mrscutedean, affectingly, clex_monkie86, moveablehistory, stephanometra, phouka_h, huggenkiss and SO MANY MORE HOMG. You all are AMAZING and I'm so glad I got to meet you! Plus all the others who were already on my flist who I got to see face to face for the first time! It's quite an experience, you know? So weird to know a person online for however long, reading entries about their life and so and so, and then MEETING them. Very very cool. I think the absolute best part about Winchestercon was the huuuge fangirl gathering in our hotel room and watching "The Kids are Alright" all together. Omg words cannot describe. EVERYONE needs to get a chance to do this, seriously. I hope ALL OF YOU are going again next year, because I am SO there again, hee! ♥!!

And then finally, just a little over a month ago, I was up in Chicago for Creation Con, meeting up with my MOST LOVELY AND AWESOME idril_telrunya eee! We also became BFFs with lady_vader67, orange74, and feendish and they are all so very awesome, don't let anyone tell you otherwise. And then there was that little part of the trip where we met Jensen and Jared (times two!), and yeah, okay, that might have been the highlight of my year, just a little bit. Because seriously. Blue Steel? They We will be talking about that for MONTHS. Ahaha. Words cannot express how awesome this entire convention was, even with crazy (like, literally crazy) fan... women (because once you hit the age of 40, I really can't find it in me to call them fangirls), mostly because Chrissy and I were the awesomest there AHAHA. Oh man. Augh, so fantastic. I hope a certain other Con in a certain other city quite close to me happens to be JUST AS AWESOME with other certain people coming along! ♥

So, yes. Suffice it to say, I really have to thank YOU ALL for such an amazing year. It's sad how other people don't quite understand the friendship and camaraderie that one can build with people who live on the other side of the continent or world, because I don't think I would be the person I am today without all of you wonderful people, even the ones I didn't mention. I know, I'm being a TOTAL sap, shut up. But it's true. I love you all immensely much, even though it may not seem like it or I don't mention it often enough, hee. <333333

My goals for 2008?:

- MOVE OUT OMG (with distantechoes and darth_snuggles, yeeee!!)
- actually seeing SNOW for the first time ever, yes
- visit out of the country!
- uhhh, a boyfriend wouldn't be awful either. Please. God.

All right. I'm going to work for seven hours and then come home, pack a little bit, and I'm off to Lakeland to have festivities with the relatives for the holiday. Happy 2008, you guys! <3
