OH MY GOD YOU GUYS HI.

Holy SHIT. What a weekend. Exhausting and stressful but absolutely FANTASTIC in every way that counted. For the most part Creation did a pretty fantastic job in the organization for what they had to work with (like the fact that the line for the photo ops with both the boys stretched far and winding throughout the hotel lobby, ahaha), but hey. I was a bit nervous to go, especially with the fact that the last time Jensen was at a con someone fucking TACKLED him, and... well. As far as the fans go, I'm sure they were more well-behaved than some of the stupidity of other cons, but I was WAY less than pleased with the behavior of a lot of people there. For the life of me, I cannot understand how so many people, especially FANDOM people, have about zero tact and just let whatever crosses their minds dribble out of their mouths. For the record, I have a huge, HUUUGE embarrassment squick, so I was pretty nervous for the Q&A of Jared and Jensen, and yeah. I'm sure y'all have heard a few stories, but I'd like to bring it up again later, because Jesus CHRIST. Again, I'm sure they were a lot more well-behaved than a LOT of other cons (I don't have that much experience when it comes to them) but there were a lot of instances where I was literally facepalming and looking for something to bash my head on because asldkjfs!! PEOPLE. I can now REALLY understand why wank gets started so easily, just because people DON'T KNOW HOW TO CENSOR THEMSELVES.

Anyway! I did not mean to go into that rant, ahaha. THE REST IS FIVE HUNDRED MILLION TIMES BETTER I PROMISE.

Friday

Getting up at the ass crack of dawn always seems to be the norm when doing these sort of things, but hey, at least it was a nonstop flight into O'Hare. I anxiously awaited Chrissy's ([livejournal.com profile] idril_telrunya) plane, and then I got a call from her going, "I CAN'T FIND YOU!" and hilarity ensued as we tried to find each other in the huge ass airport that is O'Hare. FINALLY found her, jumped up and down and kind of made idiots of ourselves in public (also the norm for the weekend) and went and found Carol Lee [livejournal.com profile] saschavamp who was AWESOME and had rented a car for the weekend.

Got to the hotel, nearly had a coronary when I found out that wifi cost TEN DOLLARS per 24 hours, bought it for one day anyway, hence the posts earlier. I need to reiterate the AWESOMENESS that is Carol Lee, as she brought us both gift bags with totes and knit hats that had classic rock band names on them, Supernatural offical companion guide books, a SPN mug that was handy for the maragritas, rum, and vodka that I drank all weekend, HAHA, and a few other odds and ends that made me feel like a horrible person for not getting her anything haha aww.

Basically we were waiting around for the fan dinner at Hoolihans, a sports pub across the street from the hotel, so Chrissy went out to smoke and I went with her. This was our FIRST run in with Samantha Ferris, eee! As I wrote before, we were just sitting outside (I was freezing my ass off, but that's another story) and we both hear someone that sounded pretty damn familiar. She was talking to a Creation team member, I think, basically telling him that she was going to go shopping for a bit, and then said, "Yeah, let the boys know if they wanna give me a call when they get here and we can go out for dinner or something." AND WE PRETTY MUCH DIED. Also, nearly jumped in the shuttle to the shopping center WITH HER, but yeah, we refrained. GOOD OF US, I KNOW.

Afterwards, we met up with two AWESOME ladies through Carol Lee, Larissa ([livejournal.com profile] orange74) and Erin ([livejournal.com profile] feendish), who are veteran con-goers, and whom we pretty much hung out with the entire time of the Con. A little while later and we all made our way over to Hoolihans.

GOOD GOD IT WAS FREEZING OUTSIDE.

Dinner was fun! If a bit disorganized, as Chrissy and I got our food waaaay later than everyone else, heh. ALSO: generally made asses of ourselves at our little booth.

Chrissy with our bag o' swag that were on our tables!

Chrissy and me! AWW BABE.

BEST PART EVER was the fact that they gave us ALL purple nurples, and hi, I'm 5 months shy of my 21st birthday, but did they card? NOPE. Good Lord those things were strong. Let's just say there was a lot of long lasting gigglefits. Ahaha omg.

Went back to the hotel and drank some more with Larissa and Erin and uhh I can't really remember what else. BEDTIME FOR EXCITING TIMES THE NEXT DAY.

Saturday

Sleeping in apparently doesn't work when you're at a hotel with fangirls, because we were all up and ready by 10:30, heh. To kill some time, Chrissy and I went out into the lobby and talked for a while, and I met up with [livejournal.com profile] gigglingkat, [livejournal.com profile] huggenkiss, [livejournal.com profile] laser_radiation and [livejournal.com profile] velithya, whom I had met up at Winchester Con, n'aw! Kat is officially AWESOME, as I didn't have a Jared autograph in my possession, but she had an exta and GAVE it to me! Thank you again, babe!

While we were all standing there talking, I happened to look up at one of the rooms who's balcony overlooks the inside of the lobby, and who was standing there but Samantha Ferris! HAHA OMG. I was like, "GUYS, look but don't look, up there, no, up there just behind you, it's Samantha Ferris, omg DUDE." She just kinda surveyed the going-ons and went back inside. Hee.

Pretty trees! Canadian geese! Omg I am so moving out of Florida this INSTANT.

Chrissy with PALM FRONS coming out of her head ahaha I was laughing so hard.

After a bit we finally all went inside the auditorium for Samantha Ferris's panel and parted ways with the other girls as Chrissy and I were had the general admission seats all the way in the back, SIGH.

The auditorium beginning to fill.

Neat little music video before Samantha came out, and then CUE THE AWESOME.

YOU GUYS. I officially have the hugest girl crush on Samantha Ferris EVER. She is so utterly fantastic, and fangirls the boys like no tomorrow. I have about eight or so videos of her entire panel, heh, and I'll try to upload them as soon as possible, because for some reason youtube likes to slow my internet waaaay down whenever I upload. Nearly everything she said was GOLD, and she definitely reiterated the fact that both the boys are so wondefully polite and funny, very "Yes Ma'am, no ma'am," and she loved working on the show incredibly much. A few other points I wrote up after the panel:

- she loves Dirty Jobs and she thinks Mike Rowe is hot (I LOVE HER SO MUCH FOR THIS YOU HAVE NO IDEA)
- HIGHLIGHT FOR SPOILER - she’s coming back in episode 14, depending on writer’s strike
- she wants so very badly to come back and kick the new girls’ asses (not that I totally HATE the new chicks on our show, but Ellen >>>>>>>> them ANY day
- she hasn’t had the heart to watch the show because of the new girls (“I’ve got fantastic T&A, I'm just, you know, a bit older”)

Ahaha she let slip that Jared and Jensen were already in town and had taken their girlfriends to Chicago to go shopping (♥!!) AND that they were gonna be there tonight at the Steve Carlson concert, to which the stage guy was like, "Shhhh!" AHAHA. She goes, "Oh shit!" It was hilarious. There's a TON of stuff more in the videos, so yeah, I'll try to have them up as soon as possible.

Afterwards, Chrissy and I decided we HAD to get an autograph ticket from her, because yeah. She was really that awesome. ♥

Waited around a few hours for Fredric Lehne's panel to start, and then lined up again in the auditorium.

AAAHH YOU GUYS. He too was SO AWESOME and God help me for having such a huge crush on him now too, ahaha! He comes out with this guitar and then whole audience is like OMG WOOO! and then, oh God. He starts playing and singing SYMPATHY FOR THE DEVIL by The Rolling Stones and I nearly fell off my chair. I have this on video too, which is FANTASTIC, because at the very end he does the GROWLY YED VOICE and says, "Or I'll make certain you'll live long enough to know the chewy taste of your own intestines." AHAHAHA OH MY GOD. So insanely fantastic.

The Q&A for him was pretty good, and I have a little part of him on video imitating Sam and it's HILARIOUS. He also says the boys are, and I quote: "Two of the nicest, the most affable, friendly, fun-to-hang-out-with guys I've ever met." ♥!!! He also learned the word "snarky" and had a lot of fun saying it over and over, ahaha!

WOOO FRED.

Funniest story EVER was when he was shooting at a school for Criminal Minds, I think, and these kids were looking out the window and saying, "Hey! There's the evil guy from Supernatural! Hi Mr. Evil Guy!" and he just does this VOICE and omg I was dying.

After the panel Chrissy and I slowly made our way up to our room; we get off on our floor and round the corner and GUESS WHO'S STANDING THERE. Pretty much it's Fredric. He was talking with one of the Creation dudes, so we kind of made eye contact and then went to our room. I take out my key and try to get the door open, but it happens to be the ONLY TIME my key wouldn't work properly, so I'm sitting there like a dumbass shoving the key in and out and Fred and his wife/girlfriend start walking towards us down towards their room, and Chrissy goes, "Hey, you were fantastic!" and he says, "Oh, thanks! You guys enjoying yourself so far?" We're like, OF COURSE. Chrissy asked him if he was enjoying himself and he says oh yeah, definitely. We said goodnight and parted ways, shut the hotel room door and proceeded to JUMP UP AND DOWN LIKE IDIOTS. Shut up. And Chrissy wanted me to add that he touched her arm AHAHA. Touched by a demon. Kinda poetic.

The signings for both Fred and Samantha were a bit disorganized and took a looooong time to get through, but that was cool because people actually got to talk to them a bit and say hi. Since Chrissy and I were in the back we waited... nearly a good three hours for our signature. Yeah. Kinda long.

Waiting and waiting and waiting. That's Fred towards the left in the white.

In order to get set up for Steve Carlson's concert that was already half an hour late because it was in the same room as the signings, they moved the rest of us and the both of them out into the hall to finish signing. I brought the shooting script of Bloodlust that I won at Winchester Con, and I gave it to her to sign. She goes, "Oh, what's this!" I told her about where and how I got it, and she goes, "Oh, wow, very cool!" and put her signature on it, yaaay! Good times.

Since they were out in the hall and we were just standing there, I just had to take a few more pictures.

HEEE Fred. I heart this guy.

Eeee Sam! ♥!!

AHAHAH oh my God, SO, he sees me about to take this picture and totally puts on this FACE, and instead of waving or doing something cool I just go "TEE HEE OMG" and start giggling like a moron. SO CLASSY OMG.

Larissa and Erin had ordered pizzas from Lou Malnatis (NUM NUM OMG) but I was like omgggg what if Jared and Jensen are at the Steve Carlson concert OKAY. So we go, all the way to the back again, but Larissa and Erin stay with us, and at this point we're all so exhausted we start going slaphappy, which was rather, uh, interesting, given the music. I'm not knocking Steve Carlson's music, it's just not my thing. So the auditorium is, you know, rather quiet and we're all sitting back there saying stupid shit and biting our lips to keep from laughing.

Cue Chrissy spotting Jensen, Daneel, Jared, and Sandy in the very back of the room, reserved for the desert party later on.

Ahaha WELL. There we are, all trying as surreptitiously as possible to turn our heads, glancing back occasionally to watch Jared put his arm around Sandy, gradually leaning into Jared until he's got his arms all around her, and we're all trying not to DIE of unmitigated glee. Seriously. And ahaha aww Jensen and his little super stealthy sekrit baseball cap. We were seriouly the only ones that knew until Nicholas Brenden, one of the other guests at the Con, nearly made a scene with getting too close to the boys' body guards and shooing him out. Heh. They left not long after Steve's second to last song.

Haaaii Steve.

I really can't remember the rest of the night because JESUS GOD I was kinda nervous about Sunday. Haha oh man.

Sunday

Carol Lee had a gold ticket, so she was gonna get up UNGODLY early to get ready for the breakfast where the boys would be, and Chrissy and I would get up a bit later. Well.

Me: *Sawing logs*
Voice: HOLY SHIT.
Chrissy (half asleep): What! What! What! What!
Carol Lee: I OVERSLEPT.
Me: WHAT.
Carol Lee: IT'S 6:45.
Me (rolling over): I didn't oversleep.

Ahaha poor girl. She got ready in record speed and still made it in time for Jared and Jensen. Apparently the video is out there! I have not yet watched it, but heard the stories and omg my heart. These two.

So yeah. The tickets for the photo op with Jensen were sold out online but they were selling extra just in case he got finished in time to do a few more. Chrissy bought one and I was just. I don't know. I know the guy is SO not comfortable with doing stuff like this, especially because of what happened at Asylum, which in turn made ME feel uncomfortable about doing one with him. I COMPLETELY understand that he'd probably rather be doing five million other things than have crazy (and I mean literally, crazy) fangirls ask weird questions about him and have girls (though there were a handful of guys!) hanging off of him for photoshoots and all that, so I was just REALLY not wanting to put him through one more extra added photo, even if I wasn't a crazy one (REALLY I'M NOT, ahaha). I don't even know if that makes sense. It all stems back to my embarrassment empathy/squick. Chrissy was just like SHUT UP, you're not the one who's gonna be making him feel uncomfortable, so don't worry about it. So I said, yeah, fuck it, let's just do it.

When Chrissy and I had first planned on coming, she said something to the effect of, DUDE, we are so not going to be taking pictures with these boys and SMILING like idiots. We need to break the monotony. So we decided we were TOTALLY gonna ask Jared to do the blue steel face, and since we were now going to do one with Jensen, we decided the poor boy needed maybe something that would make him laugh, if anything, heh.

We finally got up to the front and I had to supress my inner "HOLY SHIT HE'S RIGHT THERE Jesus Christ he's kinda hotter in person" to argue with Chrissy about YOU ask him, no YOU ask him, NO YOU. But hey, then we're stepping right up and he's smiling and says "Hey," and my brain is going holy shit and Chrissy steps around to the other side and I put my arm around the chair and go, "Hi! Um. Is it possible that we could do the blue steel with you?" He goes, "Heh, what?" and I said again, "The blue steel?" AND GUYS. He kind of. You know that laugh he does when he throws his head back? Like when Jared split his pants in the gag reel? HE GAVE US ONE OF THOSE. Not like, full on, but he seemed pretty amused and was like, "Yeah, I'll give you a little bit." AHAHA OMG. So yes, picture taken and I said THANK YOU OMG and I had to kind of lean on Chrissy out of the room. AHAHA GOD.

The Jared line was even longer, it felt. Finally got up to the front and had a lot more confidence about asking. SO, the second it's me and Chrissy's turn Jared goes "Oh, hey, I get two!" and opens his arms out WIDE and HOLY SHIT, WINGSPAN?? The dude is huge. Alkjfasl;fdfajs;ldfk. So Chrissy goes on one side and I go to the other and GUYS. He totally just SMOOSHES us together and squeezes us tight and ahahaaaa his back was all damp and sweaty and I'm like THIS IS THE GREATEST THING EVER. So he's already smiling, ready to go, but I turn to him and ask, "Could we possibly do the blue steel with you?" and ahaha I had to ask it twice because he was such on automatic mode of picture taking (the photographer, Chris, who is UTTERLY FANTASTIC by the way - we got to talk to him a couple times - was waiting patiently and hadn't even snapped a picture yet), and Jared goes, "The what? Oh! Oh yeah! Of course!" So he DID and seriously, I'm trying not to fall out of my chair right now just thinking about it. Since we had two tickets we also did a smiling photo and then said THANK YOU again and nearly shit ourselves with excitement once we left the room. AHAHAHA. Also, I'm totally not even going to say that he smelled good and MANLY-LIKE because that would be totally stalkerish, so I'm not even going to go there. RIGHT.

The greatest thing about these photos, was later that night (which was only YESTERDAY omg WAIL) they were all printed out and laying on tables around these two rooms for people to find theirs and pick them up, and apparently a bunch of people were around our photos and going HOMG SO AWESOME. Because yes. They are.

AFJfjkdlsl I DON'T THINK THAT'S THE BLUE STEEL FACE, good job, Sarah. JENSENNNNN.

*EXPLODING GLEE*

LOOK HOW CLOSELY SMOOSHED WE ARE. And I didn't even REALIZE that I put my hand on his shoulder like that!

ARE WE THE FUCKING AWESOMEST EVER OR WHAT.

POST-SEEING-BOYS FACE.

And then I got distracted by the trees in the background. SHUT UP.

We get back inside and get back to our seat ALL THE WAY IN THE BACK for the panel, gah. Kinda nervous, but hey. Gonna role with the punches.

Jensen comes out first and the room explodes, etc., and he's basically adorable and sitting in a chair and ready to answer some questions. I took a crapload of videos there too, and I'm sure most everyone has seen/heard a good portion of the panel, BUT:

- in Tall Tales when he's shoving the food in his mouth, those are actually caramels, and he stressed on the fact that they weren't sugar free, ahaha. He said he got about fifteen of those suckers in there, and yes, it was all his real mouth, no CGI. His mouth and tongue started to swell up from all the sugar take after take, haha.

- oh man, the question that I wanted answered the MOST was what was the stupidest thing he had done drunk or had watched Jared do when drunk, but he's like, "I'll have to get back with you later." Heh.

- he said that the Wednesday before coming they had a "very emotionally heavy day" SO. Guess what. That leads me to believe that we could finally be seeing the breakdown of Dean about the deal. SO EXCITED, WHAT.

- on what he did for Sam's death scene in AHBL: "...and, you know, it wasn't too hard, because he's practically a brother to me anyway..." and the crowd goes, "Aww!" and he goes all sarcastic-like, "Shut up! I'm tryin' to talk to you people!" AHAHA. He also brought up the end scene in CSPWDT and how WRECKED he was aaahh omg.

- some chick was saying, "So, I have a question about the ring and the amulet-" and he immediately cuts her off and goes, "Aww, man, I don't know!" AHAHA. So yeah, apparently he gets that question a LOT and has no idea. Before the pilot was shot he wanted Dean to have some things that made him him, so he went to the costume department and picked out the amulet. Kripke said he was going to write a backstory for it, but he hasn't yet, so. MAN. I so want a backstory on that thing it's not even funny.

- SO, this one chick was in the middle of her question when all of a sudden we hear, "I have this question from anonymous?" and it's JARED and he comes on to the stage and you guys it was the most hilarious thing EVER. He comes up behind Jensen and smacks his hands down on his shoulders and GUUYSS. I'm sure everyone's seen the video, and if not, don't worry, I'll try to have them up soon omggg. BEST EVER.

My pictures are CRAP since I'm so far back, but whatevs.

So then Jensen left for a bit and Jared answered some questions and suddenly this is where it started to turn a little sour. I don't know. Maybe it's because people don't realize that they're complete ASSHOLES? There was this one lady (an older lady) who came up and said "Blah blah blah and yeah I know more about you than you're own mother does," and I'm like WHAT??! Why the fuck would you SAY something like that? Because that's not creepy at ALL. And then this other lady was all, "Well, this question was for Jensen and I don't think you could answer it that well," and just kept going on and digging herself deeper into a hole, and the question was so ridiculous anyway, something about Bedtime Stories and how it sounded like Jensen had finished one of Jared's lines or something and I'm just sitting there going, "For the love of GOD sit the hell DOWN." Ugh. I don't even know. There might have been more but I'm really trying to block them from my memory.

BUT ANYWAY. Jared was so FUCKING ADORABLE I didn't even know what to do. When some people (AGAIN) said their question was originally intended to be for Jensen, he's like, "Oh, I can be Jensen!" and swiped the hair out of his face and sat like Jensen did and did DUCKY LIPS and f;laskjdfld I don't KNOW I seriously hope people have pictures of that because it was the greatest ever. He got asked the question about what was the stupidest thing he's ever done drunk or seen Jensen do drunk and OH MY GOD YOU GUYS. He literally starts laughing SO HARD he gets up out of his chair and does this little dance and I wish like HELL that I had recorded it but I didn't. Omggg then he got asked about if it was fun to act as evil Sam and he's like, "Oh sweetheart, I was acting." AL;SKDFJASL;DFKJASD. Umm let's see. Also after every time someone said their name, he's like, "Hi, I'm Jared," and it kind of became this running gag and it was adorable.

He also talked about how kind of awkward it is to film a love scene which I DO have on video and it's hilarious omg.

ALSO?? In Bad Day at Black Rock, when Dean yells, "Son of a bitch!" and you see Sam CRACK UP? That was pretty much IMPROVISED and Jared admits that he was trying to hide his face because he was laughing so hard.

OH MY GOD ALSO. He goes on to say that his favorite scene in that whole episode was the picture of when they won the check at the restaurant because he says JENSEN'S FACE, it looks like he's five years old. He said that there's something about Jensen when he's got this goofy grin on his face that makes Jared go like, oh, I'm going to put you on my shoulders, do you want some chicken nuggets? AHAHAHA. Holy shit. I was dying.

AWW.

AND THEN, Jensen comes back out, but omg, he was totally wearing a SAM shirt. SO HILARIOUS. Jared's like, "I have never been more attracted to your torso!" ALDSKJFALSDJ. Holy GOD I love them. Jared goes to sit down and kind of looks at Jensen, sees that he's at the same height as him and goes, "Did you get me a smaller chair?! You got me a smaller chair to sit in!" AHAHAHA.

Both of them together were fantastic. Until, yeah, someone had to go and ask the fucking fan fiction question and everybody in the audience just had to groan, and fucking HELL I have never in my life wanted to crawl into a hole so badly. Jared was like, yeah, uh, haven't really seen it, and Jensen said, "Yeah, it's just that: fiction," which made everyone go wooo and whatever, but good God. Just. No. You make freaking EVERYONE uncomfortable when you address it, so just leave it the fuck alone.

Shortly after that the mod dude said they had a special surprise for the both of them, and a guy in fatigues came on the stage. He said that he had just flown in from Baghdad the day before and was really excited to see the both of them, and let them know that Supernatural is the most requested DVD set for soldiers overseas. Holy SHIT, you guys. He then said that he had something for the both of them, something that is not given out lightly, and is rarely received by civilians, which were these coins from the Green Berets, as well as a letter from the general of the freaking US Army and how much they enjoyed the show. Guys. I was so close to crying. I was far from the stage, but even from back where I was standing I could totally tell the guys were having hard time keeping themselves in check because they were so moved. Augh. If this doesn't tell the CW that Supernatural is doing something right, I don't know what will.

The military guy on stage.

Hee, Jensen was like, Wow, I feel totally ridiculous with this shirt on and you guys giving this to us!

So yeah. We had some time to kill after the panel, as they were calling to do autographs by row and we were in the back.

I took a picture of a CHRISTMAS TREE HOMG.

An hour or two later our rows are finally being called, and I've got my script with me. By this point they were trying to rush them as fast as possible, which was REALLY unfortunate, but they were up against a deadline.

While we're waiting in line I totally spot Sandy not ten feet away and omg YOU GUYS. SHE IS SO ADORABLE. Honest to God, if Jared doesn't marry her, I WILL. She was so TINY and dressed so cute, and ahaha they were playing this awful elevator-type music and she's just sitting in a chair pretending to dance along to it and omg. I wanted to say hi, but yeah, that might have been kind of weird. Haha.

I get up to Jared and he takes my script and says, "Oh, cool, what's this?" and I told him as quick as possible about the Con and how Sera had been awesome enough to send the shooting scripts and, ahaha, he goes, "No shit!" Hee. He signs it off (no personalizations, SIGH), and I step up to Jensen who looks pretty frazzled (seeing as how we were at the end of the line, pretty much) and he looked up for a second, smiled, and took the pen to sign and like an ASS, I'm like, "Yeah... it's a script that Sera Gamble had sent to a Con that I won," and he's like, "Uh huh," because he wants to get done because they're literally racing against time to get to the airport and their flight back to Vancouver and I'm like, 'k, gonna go crawl under a rock and die now. AHAHA. Oh well. Can I be superficial for a moment and say he has the prettiest eyes ever Jesus. I'm not joking. MMF.

So, yes, days activities over. We pretty much hung out with Carol Lee, Erin, and Larissa the rest of the day into night and talked about SUPER SMART STUFF like religious context in SPN, John Winchester and his ethics, and uhhh porn. HOORAY.

Erin ([livejournal.com profile] feendish) and Chrissy [livejournal.com profile] idril_telrunya) and ERIN'S SCREENSAVER HOMG.

Alkjasdf I can't believe this was just THIS MORNING. Chrissy took a picture of the BLUE STEEL JARED for her phone ahaha.

While Carol Lee is HOT STUFF dude.

All in all, it was FANTASTIC, but I don't think I'll be doing anything like it anytime soon. The photo ops were worth it because of the blue steel of awesomeness, but man, the autographs and a lot of the other stuff is so expensive and not really worth your while, because it's not personalized and you don't even get to talk to them. Honestly, my main reason for going was to see them together and see their dynamic awesomeness on stage, because I was SO NERVOUS about doing the whole photo op and autograph thing. I don't like to make people uncomfortable (people being Jensen in terms of this, heee), so it gets me all flustered and whatnot and yeah, it was great saying hi, but it's just... not my thing. This is just another drudgery of an event in the life of being an actor, and I totally understand that, it's not like I was there to profess my undying love, or anything. Ahaha God, I feel like I'm digging myself deeper into a hole. POINT: totally fun, nervewracking, if I did go again (like to EyeCon in Orlando to see Jared) I'd only go for the panel, not all the other stuff. So, yes. Not dissing anyone who loves doing all of that, it's just, you know. Not for me. I've done it once, now I'm good.

It's just so utterly DEPRESSING to get back to real life. Now I keep looking at my calendar and going DEAR GOD this semester is just not going fast enough. Why can't my life ALWAYS revolve around Supernatural?!

I'll try to get my videos up as soon as possible, but like I said, my internets and youtube do not like each other for some reason.

BEDTIME NOW.

Nice recap! It must have taken you forever to write up. *goggles* I think I share the same embarrassment squick as you, which is probably why I wouldn't be good at a con. (Even watching the videos-- which are adorable, I'm a little weirded out). Heh.

Though I have to admit that I'm a bit jealous of you actually seeing the boys up close and in person. I love the blue steel look. ;)

Haha, not too long, as I was so excited to write it out anyway, hee. And if it's the breakfast video that you're talking about, yeah, I can understand, haha. If they were by themselves just being crazy I wouldn't feel to weirded out.

Heee, thanks babe! :D

I finally downloaded my pics now what!?

Ahaha you WERE really there, silly! ;D

Ooh, okay, let's see. If all your photos are in photobucket, pretty much all you have to do is use the code <*img src="theurlgoeshere"> Just be sure to take out the * symbol; I had to use it, otherwise LJ wouldn't let me show you how to do the code, heh.

For the URL, it should be the second link under the photo you want to use. Just copy the one next to where it says "direct link" and paste it in between the parenthesis in the code. And there you have it! If you have any questions, just let me know, babe! ♥

I'm actually not supposed to be on line right now, and hopefully the toddlers in my living room are like still alive and not breaking everything, but I just HAD to sit down and read this, because it so rocks, and it's so worth slacking off work to experience the awesomeness!

*flails endlessly and jumps up and down with you*

MWAH!

Hai hai, thank you so much for posting the account. Best recap ever. Lovely fangirlish details too :3. I have one question though... what was the 'Asylum' (not the series) episode involving Jensen, what happened exactly?

Thank you for sharing the goofy photos! And thank you so much for all the videos, they really are the best. :D

Did I miss anything in the last few weeks?

Well, I am just a little, tiny bit jealous. And amazed at your bravery at asking the boys in RL to do Blue Steel. I met a bunch of the BTVS and Angel stars...and some HL ones (but that was probably before your time;D) and it was never NOT terrifying. Mostly for the embarassment squick you mentioned, and I don't want to be one of THOSE fen...but they were always wonderful and sweet...though none as reportedly shy as JA. Damn, girl, you are so lucky. I remember you well from Wincon, and I know you are not noe of those fen either, s glad you posted this for the vicarious squee...and I definitely still will upload some vids I have from the WinCon dinner, karaoke, etc in the nearish future if anyone still wants to see...or suggest where to do so...

HEY YOU! I thought you dropped off the face of the earth, hee! Oh my GOODNESS I honestly could not believe the words were coming out of my mouth, ESPECIALLY with Jensen, when I asked to do the Blue Steel! Amazing. EEE YES! I have been looking forward to those videos from WinCon! I hope they're up soon! ;D

Yes, But where?

My lj? (which I found out apparently has not been posted on by me for 37 weeks HOLY CRAP!), it's kind of late to do a WinCon Post yeah? I have the "Carry on My Wayward Son" Karaoke on video but I didn't know if there was anyone in there who didn't want to be on the internets or anything...it's not like the J2 vids you posted...and Sam Ferris Vids I'm about to gobble up.

Me and You Tube are not friends...as far as posting.

*takes a moment to envy you again*

No public figures but us fen...and mostly not me, either, since I was wielding the video. Any advice????

No, I wasn't off the face of the earth, but really, REALLY tired, then sick for a few weeks after the Con. I'm just trying to get back into the online part of SPN Fandom. I mean I still read fic, and watch fanvids, and eps most days, so it's not like my Obsession has dimmed any.

And posts like yours, I repeat...not helping.

But why can I not see most of the pics you post in picspams...just captions?

You know, I am so tempted to head out your way to EyeCon (meaning, I was going to FINALLY Google Supernatural and Cons, and try not to miss anything as awesome as you went to just by virtue of being offline and unaware) just to meet JP if #1 -I could be reasonably certain he would end up really being there, and #2 if I could be sure I would make the plane trip ok...and also NOT trip in front of him over my cane if I saw him smile in RL.

Damn. I'm a DeanGirl, too.

*waves*

again like an idiot.

Hmm... as far as the more public videos go (such as everyone singing Carry On my Wayward Son) I think you should definitely post it in the [livejournal.com profile] winchestercon community, because I think people would like to see it! And hey, if they didn't want to be videoed, they shouldn't have been up there in the first place, heh! For the more personal videos, I think, didn't Charli take one of all of us around our dinner table, or something? Stuff like that you could just post in your own journal, because I'd still love to see them! Also, are you having troubles with youtube? Do you have another place to upload them? I, too, have troubles with uploading stuff on youtube for some reason. It likes to slow every single computer in my house connected to the internet waaaaay down. Gah!

Oh, I hope you're feeling better! That sucks to be sick that long!

Hm, the picspams? That's weird! Umm... maybe it's your browser? I use Firefox, so I don't know if that would make any difference....

Ooh, YES YES! I'm trying to get as many people as possible to go to EyeCon, heeee. Aw, you'd do just fine! I stutter and yet somehow talk a mile a minute when I'm nervous, and I did neither when I met them! They're just so super friendly you can't help but feel at ease. :D

I did it. Ack. I'm going to EyeCon. I've never been to Florida, though my best friend in the service was from there. I've driven cross country like 5 times, and never been there. I hope April is not too bad. I'm just realizing my Dad's b-day is going to be during EyeCon and my niece's is during next Chicago Con...and I'll just have to get them their presents from there. Hey, my dad I actually got to watch the show. He's caught up to AHBL1 and somehow had the fortitude to NOT instantly watch the 2nd half until he gets back from a business trip. Air Miles, that's how this is going to work!

I wish I knew what's up with my browser, but it's Firefox too ;) so I don't think that's it. It sucks though. The only picspams I could get to work are [livejournal.com profile] kroki_refur's. But your pics are still there right?

I hear you on the stutter/mile a minute thing, too - but you seemed very poised to me. WinCon was just a tiny bit too short, it takes about 3 days for me to get comfortable with people enough to jump into LOUD, hard to hear conversations and get all opinionated. I was just starting to get comfy during the dinner, and then the last night and day was great, but it was over...

I don't know JA & JP, though. I was totally nervous in the lines right up to meeting other stars I've met...then calm and pleasantly surreal during and somehow able to speak, then afterwards I dissected Every. Single. Word. and got all embarassed about some stupid thing I said (that I'm sure they forgot a minute later). Here's hoping there's not such a long recovery Post Con in April. EEEEEE. Already getting excited

Will you be finally legal at EyeCon? Are you getting Day Passes? What does a Purple Nurple taste like/what is it made of?

Re: YouTube, I've never tried to upload there; I just prefer to dl rather than stream. I've used MU, and I've joined SendSpace and Daily Motion, so maybe either of those would work.

I suppose I should read the eljay FAQ and figure out how to embed the dang videos into a post like you did - or just post links to where I can upload them.

And YES the Video Charli took at dinner was darling, I've got to get that up for at least everyone at the table, right? Plus, I got some vid in [livejournal.com profile] umperfectwolf's room the night she won the "Heart" script, where she reads THAT scene aloud and I get it all, and the end scene, on vid (but I don't know if everyone there is ok with being on tape - some in pj's.

And for the record, I know it was me who "ran" right over to her as soon as she won it and asked the infamous question for the first time, "Is the biting in the script? What about the tear and the flinch?" Though I have NO idea what possessed a DeanGirl like myself to think of THAT first thing.

*whistles innocently*

I will try again to catch your pics.

EEE AWESOME!! What kind of seats did you score? Yeah, hm, really, it depends on what kind of year we're having to be able to judge the weather in April. I remember this past April it was cold, like, still in the low 60's during the height of the day (which, YES, is cold, thank you very much!) but some years it can already feel like summer. I'll let you know as time gets closer, hee.

Hmm. That's so weird. I have my pictures uploaded on LJ's scapbook thing, that's the only thing I can think of that would make a difference. Maybe there's some sort of setting on your browser that's prohibiting you from seeing stuff uploaded to that space? I'm totally reaching here, ahaha.

Oh, BELIEVE ME, I SO do the whole over-analyzation of what I had said later on in my head and kind of want to die. I mean, I'm assuming your read all about my embarrassment squick, but unless you say something TOTALLY off the wall and inappropriate, I'm sure you'll do completely fine, heee. I get RIDICULOUSLY nervous when it comes to stuff like this, but I ended up surprising myself bigtime with actually TALKING to them myself! Amazing.

Haha, WELL, the Con is April 4-6, and my 21st birthday is on the 9th! UNBELIEVABLE. So, hm, unless I somehow get my hands on a fake ID, no alcohol for me, with the exception of stuff brought into our hotel room (which we will most DEFINITELY do, ahaha!). Ooh purple nurples. I LOVE THEM. I've had the homemade kind and one from the bar, and in both you can barely taste the alcohol so you pretty much get real drunk real fast ahaha. Umm, in the homemade one we put in blue curacao, malibu rum, triple sec, and cranberry juice. GAAAH SO GOOD.

Ohh, yeah, downloading! I have no idea why I forgot all about that option. Embeded videos come direct from youtube itself. You have to upload a video on to their site and then they'll give you the link to just post in your journal and tada! Embedded video. If you want to do the whole uploading thing or need my help, just let me know! :D

EEEE AHAHA YES! Ohh man. THE BITING. Making girls go crazy since uhh... the episode aired. HEE.

Wow, 5 to 3 days before you're legal...what luck. Hey, since you mentioned a hotel room, does that mean you are going to do the "whole" Con experience again? Like you were done with? Heeee. Well, my first Con was when I was 13 so at least you're old enough to "pass" at Chicago Con, and possibly at EyeCon, too. Purple nurples sound awesome. No alcohol taste for faster inebriation is ALL good. But yikes, I don't want to get too stupid giggly with actual SPN stars around, not just other fen!

Not that I'm saying I wanted alcohol back then *g*, just that it wouldn't have been an option. Then at 17 I had my first encounter with Slashfic at another Con, which was mildly traumatizing at the time...(my two guys are doing wot??), and I would have thought it to be worse with SPN...but it just... isn't. But I'm not alone. I read plotty, angsty POV stuff anyway, and the intensity and love (and angst and f-d-up-ness) of of the Winchesters' relationships reads remarkably similarly if one takes out the NC17 scenes in either slash or het fic...IMO. (Meaning, I'm waiting for your hetfic post, dude. No pressure now.) But I digress.

EEE AWESOME!! What kind of seats did you score?

I don't know for sure yet! I've got to email and find out. It's in the Platinum C, which I hear was 2 rows full, so...possibly 5th row? I hope I'm not right in the middle of the row. Don't want to be tripping over people with my cane, or at least, hopefully, I don't have to have my legs with my knees squished up to my chest. What am I saying? JP's going to be there...and the Roadhouse Crew! Bring on the pain! :P It'll be worth it. EEEEEEE. I'll bring my dancing shoes for the parties.

What are you doing as far as extras - cocktail parties, etc?

I DID it! I booked my hotel room this morning. Optimistically, like WinCon again, I booked it saying it's for 4 parties, but I don't have any roomies yet. I'm going right now (assuming the flight to-be coincides) to be staying overnight the night before 4/3- checking out on 4/7.

*shrug*

Well the roomie thing worked out last time, hopefully will again this time, cause even with the Con rates that's going to be a big $ pinch if I'm all by myself...fewer funds for photo ops, you know?

Speaking of pics, I can see yours now that I'm...not at my home PC. I got to find out why that is, and fix it STAT. It's never been a problem before. Grrrrr.

I have my vids now on my hard drive, and hopefully (have to check) they will go into a format that others can see (not just my camera's). I'll get back to you on that if I can't figure out how to convert it. And we MUST e.m. I need your secret of vidding sekritly taking good pics at a Con. I'm at phoukahalfchild at yahoo dot com.

I can't wait for April now. And YES 60 degrees is COLD. I get cold at 70 degrees, despite being born and raised in CA. *g*

I KNOW, RIGHT? Unbelievable. Hee, if by "whole Con experience" you mean "drinking a LOT" then yes, there will probably be that, ahaha!

Yeah, no, I'm really not big on slash, Wincest or otherwise. Just... you know. Isn't my thing. But heee omg I currently have a grand total of TWO het fics at my writing journal, [livejournal.com profile] southwindow! *Hides!*

Oh, WOW, you got the bigtime seats, AWESOME! Haha, I'm just getting the row 8-14, or whatever it is. But I'm going to have a KICKASS camera, so I'm really excited! As for any of the extras... hm. I haven't decided yet. I guess I can rule the cocktail party out, 'cause I can't drink, sigh. I'll let you know as soon as I decide! :D

YAY, awesome! I can't wait to see them! At the cons? They totally let you video, even though it said on the door outside that no one was allowed to make videos, ahaha! Everyone was holding them up and taking vids, heh. As for good pics, I won't have a CLUE until I get my super duper awesome camera. It zooms in so far I can probably see Jared's NOSEHAIRS, AHAHA!

From: [identity profile] phouka-h.livejournal.com
Heeee. I mean, by Con Experience, did you buy a weekend pass AKA "EyeCon Convention ticket", instead of just planning to do some kind of "day pass" for jusy say...the panels? Because if you did have that, then you could actually get the cocktail party ticket too (extra $65, but dude, all the stars are invited and already all the Roadhouse people seem to have accepted). And BTW your birthdate won't exclude you at ALL from the cocktail party. I got this for the EyeCon FAQ for the party:

Q: Are there any age limitations for the events at EyeCon?
A: No, there are no age limitations for any event. Although there will be alcohol served, there will be soda as well. Any one of any age may attend any event at EyeCon.

And the drinks are FREE.

Then the Banquet is an extra $85 ticket also(but there's only 100 being sold for the cocktail party and 150 for the Banquet-so pretty small groups) as well-but again you need the whole Con ticket as well as banquet ticket, and the order apparently depends on badge# but people pick which Celebrity table they want to sit at. Which means there is almost certainly no chance of my getting to sit at JP's table (he's going to that one, it looks like)...but that might be a good thing. I don't like to eat in front of most people anyway, and that could be Awkward. He could smile in my sightline, and then I'd go blind, and then I'd choke on whatever I was eating at the moment. And Major Suckage right there.

And I don't know what to think of trying to win an auction Breakfast or Lunch "date". I mean, it's so not a "date" and I couldn't even pretend it was...and...it's almost like an extended chance to embarass oneself by saying something stupid - if one by chance hadn't already done so at a photo op. *G*

I'd feel like Gert in RSAM (only I'm not that old, and especially NOT with the groping thing she was doing. UGH...no actor needs that in RL...just, UGH), just like somebody's being polite by spending time with you just because they had to, but would really give anything not to be there. OTOH, wow. A meal one on one with one of the Celebrity guests talking about what one likes about the show in a completely non-obsessive way, getting some inside info, and just talking...That's once in a lifetime chance. *ponders anxiously*

So, you could go to the other events too...:)

I have a pretty good little camera, but it's obvious it can take video-and has GREAT audio-it has the viewscreen you pull out...it's small, but it doesn't just look like a digital picture camera. I'm scared of it being taken away or kicked out/forbidden. But it really also does have a "just camera" mode, I can't help it if it's all in one, can I? *g*. Did people have cameras like mine, or were they more of the 'digital cameras that can take a minute of video at a time' type?

OK, Guess what. I got paid, and I went and reserved the gold pass for NEXT November's Chicago Salute to Supernatural(only!) con. *clings* TELL me I'm not INSANE???!!!!! *whimper*

*goes to check out fics*
