One of the few great things about Florida (it's a very very very short list) is the thunderstorms that pop up out of NOWHERE but have amazing intensity, and then scoot on out before you even know it. Everyday, around 3:00 they start up, just like clockwork during summer. Tampa is the lightning capital of the world, and that's pretty awesome, except when people DIE, because they do. Anyway. I like thunderstorms. Hence, one of the few great things about Florida.

Also, I am never stepping foot outside again. So damn hot. I think Utah will be a reprieve.

OH DID I MENTION. For one whole week, starting this Tuesday, I'll be in UTAH meeting idril_telrunya, flusteredspeech and falterfrei, whom I have known now for five whole YEARS. Seriously, that's like... twenty years in internet years. Heh. Omg we're gonna go hiking in Jackson Hole and eat junkfood and watch Supernatural LIKE, nonstop. IT'S GONNA BE AWESOME. I'm so excited I could puke, srsly.

But, um. Please to be distracting me from packing?? YOU KNOW HOW. Oh yes, you do.

ETA: I just spent 81 fucking dollars on a parking permit for ONE SEMESTER ONLY. Not a year. And how much does USF's parking suck? Wow. I could write epic poems. Because they really do. Half the time I can't even FIND parking. I am infuriated.

I have never been there! The only real "out west" that I've been to is California, but um, that's not really considered "out west," like Florida isn't really considered "down South" even though they both ARE, physically, but they're just... not. Um. Yeah.

ANYWAY. That's awesome! Too bad we'll just miss each other, heh.

Yeah! Honestly, every single time a storm goes through you hear about another person on the news who got struck by lightning, mostly out on the beaches. Crazy stuff.

Post-secondary parking passes are annoying. The ones here are 40CDN for non-serviced, non-heated outside parking two city blocks away from my department. I've heard horror stories about the "luxury" underground parking too even if it's super-expensive. I'm lucky I carpool.

5 years is forever in iNet time. :) The longest I've interacted with someone from the iNet is 6 years, but the first 3 were on a message board where we didn't really "know" each other that well, only the basics.
