Eeee, the new Mae CD Singularity has been leaked! I have downloaded it, but not yet listened. I AM EXCITED.
I must make a song rec: Sufjan Stevens - Year of the Dragon. This whole album (Enjoy Your Rabbit), first of all, is nothing short of amazing. Anything Sufjan does puts an overwhelming ache of love in my heart, but a lot of people aren't sold on this album, classifying as a "noise record." It's not. There's a distinct difference between "noise" and eccentric instrumental goodness, layers upon layers of images and emotion and depth conveyed through sythesizers and a multitude of other instruments. "Year of the Dragon" is the most exemplary of this. It builds and swells to a point of chaos, though how in the hell Sufjan controls it so beautifully is beyond me. This is headphone music. And I really really really love Sufjan. Ridiculous amounts.
(Did I mention that "Casimir Pulaski Day" is on rotation at work? Excuse me while I go into the back room and CRY MY EYES OUT.)
I don't feel like doing anything except looking at retarded macros for the rest of the night. Like so.

Date: 2007-08-07 10:12 am (UTC)Sorry I never got on; Jeffrey was hogging the computer all night. Plus I have another project I'm working on now that is trip-related, so kind of time-sensitive.
Heh... you know, its funny... this is the first time I've felt like my being a vegetarian is actually... inconveniencing someone. I'm the only one who won't eat anything and everything. Which is kind of funny, because before I went vegetarian, I was definitely not a picky eater.
One week, baby!!!
