This morning we woke up to the stomping sounds of a good handful of peacocks on our roof.

They are rather loud.

I finally started The Time Traveler's Wife!! AMAZING. Seriously, how the heck does someone come up with this stuff? It's tiring out my brain and I'm not even 100 pages in yet. Heh.

I am three and a quarter pages done with my last final exam, with question mark to go, finally starting to get some bearing on question one out of three total, am sick of talking about the characteristics and ideals that make up the South. There is no set number of pages it needs to be, which, YOU KNOW. My midterm for this class was 9 pages and I got a B-, so, UH, I don't know.

Oh man, this is my newest favorite icon EVER. "Rodents? AAHH!" I LOVE IT.

Peacocks on your roof is the coolest thing I have ever seen. Ok maybe not the coolest but the second coolest for SURE! LOL I would never wake up with peacocks on my roof. Magpies and snow YES, maybe even a tumbleweed or two but peacocks? Never.
You will do FINE on your exam! You are smart and have been in school long enough you can TOTALLY BS your way through. ;) *loves*

AHAHA, see, that's pretty much it... I BS my way through most of these papers ahahah!! ♥!!

Ok, so I know this is completly unrelated to your post, but I've been wanting to ask for awhile.

What's the whole story behind you getting into SPN... and when did you? Were you there from the start, or a bit later? Just curious. :)

June 16th, 2006, pretty much the greatest day EVER, ahaha. That was obviously just after season 1 had ended, and nearly everywhere on my flist I was hearing about this show and the crazy-ass finale and everything. But, see, I have this problem with turning up my nose at the popular shows or music or whatever; kind of the same reason why I'm not into Heroes or Gray's Anatomy or anything because, I guess it makes me feel superior? I don't know. It's really stupid, but I still do it, sigh. Anyway, it was the summer, and I was jobless so I decided, what the hey, I'll break with my normal tradition of ignoring all the crap shows on the CW (then still the WB) and just download it and watch it. I honestly didn't think I was going to like it, but I gave it a shot anyway.

So, I downloaded the whole season, watched them when I could, and throughout all of it I was like, "Yeah, mm, Sam, Dean, ghost hunting, fun times." Kind of impassive about it. And then I watched the finale. And I honestly don't know WHAT it was but that just shook me to my core, and it was like a floodgate was opened, heh. I could NOT stop thinking about it, and I must have rewatched the finale dozens of times, read an umpteem million fics on what might happen in the first episode of season 2, and nearly puked my guts out the night it was finally supposed to come on because I was so damn excited/nervous. And, really, it's all gone downhill from there, hee.

Ahaha, um. Just in case you wanted to know my life story! How about yourself? I know you said your campus started playing the episodes, but was it love at first sight? Were you skeptical at all? Was all my fangirling annoying the crap out of you so you just had to check it out? Hee! ♥

Well, I first got wind of it when I would check back to livejournal occasionally and see all the estatic posts you and others would write. Back then I was skeptic, number one because of it being a CW show, and number two because I was highly into Lost at that time, and didn't have time for anything else I thought. Plus, it didn't help that I had no way to watch it. So yea. When I would check back here, I kinda felt out of the loop.

So yes- then my school's network put up season one a few weeks ago. Naturally, I started to watch from the influence of all you livejournalers. I must say that after I watched even the first one I wasn't a skeptic anymore. I was totally hooked from the beginning. And it's like every episode kept getting better and better, until now I'm just exploading from SPN awesomeness.

Can't... handle... it!

So yea. And except for one other friend I've gotten into it, there is NO one here who watches it. They all think I'm nuts for liking it. *rolls eyes* I'm a lone reed, standing alone. But as long as I have you guys, we're good.

Hee, yep, I was the same way. I still can't help thinking Smallville's a piece of crap though....

Eee, that's so fantastic, though. Do you read any fic? After I get done with this stupid paper I'm gonna do a huge fic rec list, so keep your eye out! ;D

Hiiiii peacocks!!! That is so totally weird yet awesome!

THE TIME TRAVELER'S WIFE was absolutely excellent. I loved it so much. Gotta share your feelings with me when you're done.

Another awesome read is The Curious Inciden of the Dog in the Night-Time, by Mark Haddon. It's a must read - very different and very well written. Oh, and also Lamb by Christopher Moore (which was suggested by Kate). For a church-goer, this book is absolutely hysterical -- I sent a copy of it to my brother for his birthday. Pick those up when you can! *is very bossy*

Obviously, that was supposed to read "Incident". With a "t". Ehem.

IT'S SO AMAZING. Seriously this time stuff really messes with my brain. I have a hard time keeping up sometimes, heh.

Eeee, AWESOME. I will definitely put those down on my to-read list. The more books the better! Especially when I don't have to write papers analyzing them, hehe.
