Vicky, Jimmy, Erin, and I went down to downtown Safety Harbor tonight, as they were having some open store night. Keep their shops open later. We went into an antique store, where we found a ton of WWI/WWII memoriabilia and actual things from the war. I picked up a freaking gas mask, which disturbed me enough then, but I picked up a yellow-with-age, slightly crumpled manual that went with it, and found that it was a child's gas mask. I mean, seriously. Whoever owned this, whatever kid had this 60 years ago, how did he feel reading through the manual on the effects of tear gas and mustard gas, and how you should put it on as soon as possible, and do drills until you can put the thing on as quick as you can.

It blows my mind.

It's so fascinating, some kind of stupid, naive, morbid curiosity, holding it in your hand, wondering if it was, in fact, actually ever used.

The rest of the stuff around there was soso cool. I love history.

I bought an iced oolong and symphony tea, and we wandered back to Jimmy's place, where I played Katamari Damacy, and marvelled at amount of CRACK people had to be on when they made it. And then I wondered about myself because I found it SO FREAKING FUN.

And now it's time for bed, but I can't stop staring at Robert. Rrrrrrobert. So pretty.

Also. A+ on LJ for the autosaved drafts.
