I discovered Coldplay in the middle of tenth grade, just after my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. I listened to Parachutes and Rush of Blood to the Head on repeat for weeks, and I mean weeks. Their music was my place of solace, my retreat, something I could utterly lose myself in while my mom battled her way through chemo. So when I say that their music means a lot to me, it really does.
That being said, oh God, I love them. I LOVE THEM. They were so spectacular I was almost BESIDE MYSELF. I saw them back in 2005, but it was an outdoor arena and because of the homes around the area they weren't allowed to have their music that loud and basically, it rather sucked. BUT GOD, THIS. Chris Martin is an utter SPAZ, this I already knew when he was bouncing around at the last concert and FELL OFF THE STAGE and British and adorable and I LOVE HIM. Politik, God Put a Smile on Your Face, Yellow, pretty much the entire Viva La Vida album, Speed of Sound, Fix You (this song has made me cry on more than one occasion and wow, THERE, IT WAS, CHILLS), Hardest Part, and, AND, OH MAN, they ran up into the crowd at one point and everyone is going :D???? :D!!!!!! and they have their instruments on chairs up in the audience and played a set surrounded by everyone and their mother. This one girl who was five feet away from them was JUMPING UP AND DOWN and probably CRYING, I'm sure, I thought she was going to have a seizure ahahaaa. I KNOW I WOULD'VE.
LOVELY. BRILLIANT. SAME TIME SAME PLACE NEXT WEEK OKAY.
