Jul. 1st, 2008 03:42 pmNOOOOoooo I'm pretty sure my iPod is officially dying! I randomly got the iPod sadface icon on the screen which means it's some sort of hardware issue. I tried doing this but I can't even get into disk mode, so I think that means I'm officially screwed. :((( It was on its last leg, I think; I had almost the same problem about a two months ago. Crow T. Robot is about 4 years old, so I guess that's a pretty good run. SIGH. I will be looking in to getting the 80gb video before I go on the roadtrip, EEP. :\
Speaking of the roadtrip, AAUUGHH GOD SO EXCITED. 22 more daaaaays. I wrote out a surprisingly longish list of places to visit where they filmed. The Cleveland Dam in Capilano River Regional Park where they filmed Simon Says (where Tracey goes to jump) looks GORGEOUS. As does the Fraser River where the boys stop to drink beer at the end of Hunted. I GET RETARDEDLY EXCITED FOR MOUNTAINS OKAY??
A few days ago we went to Cocoa Beach, which is pretty close to Cape Canaveral/Kennedy Space Center. Atlantic ocean >>>> Gulf of Mexico, in terms of swimming, for reals. The waves were AWESOME. I can't wait to take a trip to Daytona now, omg.
Work is okay! There are ups and downs. Opening is... interesting, to say the least. It's really cool in a weird way to be awake before pretty much EVERYONE ELSE IN THE ENTIRE WORLD. And yet, this morning we opened at 5:20 because people were waiting OUTSIDE. LIKE, REALLY? You don't have anything better to do than wait for coffee that early? Oh man. Haha God, today I had half of a tall cup (the smallest) of iced coffee with a little bit of toffee nut (UNGGG MY FAVORITE) and, OKAY, WOW, my hands were shaking three hours later. It's ridiculous. But good, 'cause now I'm REALLY AWAKE and that will definitely be something I'll have to have on the roadtrip, haaa.
Tonight I'm making the poor man's version of pasta carbonara and OH MAN, SO EXCITED. BACON. DELICIOUS BACON.
ETA: Starbucks to close 600 stores, lolol.
