Dec. 1st, 2007 05:46 pmLast night we went to see the Australian Pink Floyd, a tribute band. Good GOD. It makes me wish that I was around for such kickass concerts back in the day. My aunt and uncle were HUGE concert-goers back in the '70's, and said that the best show they ever went to was ELO; they had numerous truckloads full of equipment and it was the best damn thing they ever saw. It's too bad you hardly see that nowadays.
ANYWAY. It was so freaking awesome. I love Pink Floyd and they did an AWESOME job, sounded pretty close vocally too. Never before in my life have I seen so many grey-haired, middle-aged, half stoned, half drunk people going completely BATSHIT over the orgiastic display of light and sound, lasers and smoke and deep bass and a HUGE inflatable PIG on stage because guys, I love the Animals album more than is healthy, AND THEY PLAYED "Pigs (Three Different Ones)"!!! AAAHHH. "On the Run" was the best, and of course they played "Another Brick in the Wall," complete with helicopter sound effects and spotlights. So awesome. I wanted to melt into my seat. There's a symphonic tribute band to Led Zeppelin coming to town in two weeks and my parents really want to see that as well ahaha. My mom REALLY REALLY wants to see ZZ Top, as they're coming too, but it's a $60 ticket. Pretty much I think I'm gonna get it for her for Christmas, hee. My parents are so awesome ahaha.
I am so done with writing papers. So done. Except not, because I'm not even finished with my first, hahahaaaaa. All I want to do is, well, writing, but no more Conrad, PLEASE, I've got ideas of the Winchester variety. Or read my newly acquired Fragile Things, a collection of short stories by Neil Gaiman that I got at Virgin Megastore for $10. I FORGOT TO MENTION. I totally got this shirt there too! New Zealand's 4th Most Popular folk parody duo!! Ahahah YAY.
Time to go into work, asldfjalsdj.
