Warning: Boring college post
Jun. 2nd, 2005 05:58 pmUSF orientation = so boring. But I did learn a few things, so I guess the freaking $150 we spent on it wasn't all in vain.
Thank the good Lord in heaven that I already completed Comp I, II, and College Algebra in high school. I only have one math course to take ever again, unless, of course, I change my major that requires more math. I'm guessing I can take whatever I want for English, since I got the Comps out of the way? That's nice. I wanted Creative Writing, but alas, it was full.
Ahaha, I need a Sociology Gen Ed, so as I get my paper to see my schedule, what do I see? "SEX HEALTH DECISIONS".
I. Don't Even. Know.
I mean, out of all the classes they could stick me in! AHAHAHAHAAA. So of course I changed it! What do you think I am, three? Ha ha, I kid. I saved it for next semester. :x
So. My class schedule for this fall (because I know you all are SO KEEN ON KNOWING):
Monday: 2:00 - 3:15 Contemporary Social Problems (as a Sociology class)
Tuesday: 9:30 - 10:45 Finite Math (I have no idea what this is, but I was assured it was easy. *Triumph!*)
12:30 - 1:45 British Literature from 1780 to 1900
3:30 - 4:45 American History
Wednesday: 11:00 - 11:50 Finite Math
2:00 - 3:15 Contemporary Social Problems
Thursday: 9:30 - 10:45 Finite Math
12:30 - 1:45 British Literature
3:30 - 4:45 American History
Friday: 11:00 - 11:50 Finite Math
It's only four classes, but they're so bloody scattered about. I can't help it. Math is what's really screwing everything up; I wanted to have at least one day off of the week, but Math and Sociology screw that up, as I only have to go in for ONE CLASS those days. The schedules are pretty booked right now, so there's nothing I can do unless people drop classes that turn out to be better times for me. It's doubtful, however.
I left myself enough time in between classes so I can get from one side of the freakinhugecampus to the other. And to do homework that I forgot. And read. Etc.
Anyway, I'm absolutely in awe over all the class selections I can take. It's wonderful! Amazing! I can do whatever I want! Which is why I'm taking Astronomy as a science credit next semester. *Flails and flails*
My Bright Futures scholarship covers my tuition, so all I have to worry about is transportation fees, food, and books. Could be a lot worse, eh?
