Dec. 31st, 2003 01:38 pmToday's the last day of 2003 isn't it? Aww. That's sad. I can't say this year's been the best but I've learned... things. A lot of new things. That will help greatly in years to come.
OmglookatMerryandPippinWHYTHEHELLWASN'TTHATSCENEINTHEMOVIE*angst* Why why why why. I can't wait for the EE. Oy. And also in the preview they showed Eomer crying and holding... Eowyn? I wanted to see that quite badly. Oh yeah, and everthing else they didn't show. My only quip.
Edit: Now "Which brings me to the whole Arwen dying thing. The only way I was able to interpret that (and again, I wasn't using the written word as a baseline reference) is that when she clutches Frodo on the banks of the river in FOTR and says "whatever grace is given me, let it pass to him" - she's linking her life into FRODO's. [This is something I thought also at the time - Tehanu] His fate therefore also becomes hers. Thus as his lifeforce fades in ROTK, so does hers. If he fails, she too will die. Therefore the time frame for her dying is imminent - and explains Elrond's sudden sense of urgency." is interesting... I never thought about it that way. Makes the whole sequence sound a lot less retarded. Yay!
Going to Deborah's house quite soon. Yay! So if I don't talk to anyone else, Happy New Year! Get drunk for me! Yeah.
