caithreamToday was great. You know why today was great? Because I got to go home at 3:00. Hahahah. Volleyball ended yesterday. We lost our first and final Distric match, as I predicted. But, hey, the coach for the other team said we improved greatly. I even got to play. Somehow I managed to get three spikes in a row, one of them being a kill. Moohahaha. Erm. Don't expect that ever to happen again, I told my team.
On Sunday my dad attempted to hook up our old record player to my stereo in my room. Didn't work. Darn you, new technology! Gah. I was so looking forward to that. I had so many memories with that record player. There was one song I'd ask my dad to play over and over again. The Raven by the Alan Parson's Project. Oh, mother. I fecking love that song. I'd ask to have it played over and over while sitting on the floor and looking at this album cover, which to me at that time looked like birds. Always that album cover. I don't know why. But that song... gah. My dad had recorded it on to a tape and I just recently re-found it again. You can hear the hissing and crackling and popping on the tape from the record player. I love it. I just love it. Gah. Memories. I am, however, hoping that he can hook the record player up to our stereo in the living room. That would be fantastic all the same.
So I called Waldenbooks tonight to ask about my application. Right before the lady picks up I'm looking down at the floor near my door. A cockroach, like, an inch and a half long is sitting there. Gahh. It took all I had not to scream and run far around the cockroach out my door. When I hung up I did just that, ahhaha. I made my dad kill it. I reign supreme! *Flexes* Eheheh.
Oh, and with the job, I told her that I sent it in a week ago and she said that the manager wasn't there right then and that it would be her (manager) to look over it and if/when she did, she'd call. Omigawihopeididnotannoytheeem. Hmm.
