Finally finally saw Harry Potter 7 part 2 today, and well, this basically sums it up:





I bawled when the professors were fortifying Hogwarts, when Neville pulled the sword out of the hat and then killed Nagini.

I lost my shit when Snape died and the whole scene in the pensieve, when James and Lily and Sirius and Remus met Harry before Voldemort killed him, until the very end, oh my God, oh my GOD, and when we see Fred, Tonks, and Remus dead. Like, trying to silently hyperventilate so everyone in the theater doesn't know you're having a massive break down ugh ughhasldkjfasl just let me die.

It was so good. I don't know. I'm sure there were glaring faults, but I was too busy letting this movie steamroll all over me. It felt like Return of the King all over again. I honestly couldn't even write a solid review besides just going "durr" and "pretty" and "fja;ljfa;oejaiw;eoj jearing into my jeard" and "Neville Longbottom please let me ravish you."

McGonagall is such a badass. I love her. So much.

Also, the music, I cannot. This, pretty much.

Ugh. I don't even know. I'm still emotionally worn out. I want to see it again noooow but I'm afraid I may have an aneurysm if I do. Tears and hearts for eyes forever.

Leaving early (eaaaaarly, ugh) Saturday morning to go see my sister in Chicago! Haven't seen her since March, so I'm pretty damn excited. Looks like the weather will only be a little less hot (but much less humid, thank God) than it is here, so that's good, at least.

I held it together pretty well for the majority of the movie. Then the last five minutes or so happened and I LOST MY ENTIRE MIND. We are talking seriously ugly crying. I didn't read the book. So the second the whole nineteen years later thing started I just kind of...idk. I think I might have audibly sobbed right there in the middle of the theater at one point.

As for the weather in Chicago: We are currently experiencing night two of what appear to be apocalyptic, monsoon like, OMG IS IT EVER GOING TO STOP??? thunderstorms. It is ugly. I really hope the weather forecast is right and this nonsense quits by the time you get here on Saturday.

Omg BB I was ugly crying like my life depended on it. I don't blame you for completely losing it at the end because of the culmination of everything. It's oddly heartbreaking!

Oh noes! I hope so too. Actually, I just checked; it looks like it'll be pretty hot and sunny, if it doesn't up and change! Also, sorry for not getting back with you about seeing if we could meet up while I'm there... I'm just not sure it'll work out, 'cause we've got limited time and so much to do! :( I feel bad, because you work out the time to see me whenever you're down here, haha.

I was tearing up at certain parts in the first half of the movie, but I literally LOST. MY. SHIT. when the Battle of Hogwarts started and the teachers were fortifying the castle. I had chills and goosebumps, and I just could not stop crying. I kept having to take my 3-D glasses off to wipe my eyes.

I've heard a lot of people complaining over it, but I was like you. I didn't miss any of what some fans are saying they got wrong. I was far too busy letting the whole movie crush me. It was AMAZING.

My friend and I are going to see it again tomorrow because she hasn't seen it yet, and I've told her if she doesn't cry, at least, once, she has a heart of solid stone.

UGH YES THAT. I don't know what it was, just their FACES and the music and that Hogwarts is the only home that a lot of the professors and students have ever known ughghlaskdalsdj. CRYING FOREVER.

Haters to the left. They're never going to do it exactly like anyone wants it, and I've long since distinguished the books and the movies as completely separate media. It was emotionally perfect for me, and that's really all I wanted!

Haha GOOD LUCK. Maybe bring a box of tissues for the both of you!

The protection of Hogwarts was the first time I cried too. The building was literally protecting the people within it!!! The gravity of it all! I think that was when it really hit me, that this was it, this was the end of all things.

There was a girl at my midnight showing that was in your boat during Fred/Remus/Tonks, I actually turned around because I was worried she was having a panic attack. Like, the entire theater was openly sniffling, I was bawling, but she was having a serious moment there. (Although I shouldn't talk, when it was all over, I was just sobbing into my hands.)

No, it wasn't the book. Yes, there were changes. But as a ending to the films, it was so perfect, and everything I could have hoped for. I loved it. So much.

The protection was so moving, oh God. They did SUCH a great job with that scene. You could really see how heartfelt it was.

That MIGHT have been me, haha! But no really, at one point I just had to close my eyes and breathe deep because I thought I'd really make a scene. I don't even know! I haven't been this emotionally involved with Harry Potter in years! And yet. AND YET.

And yes. All of that, yes. Sigh!
