Trains are holy, blameless creatures.
Sep. 15th, 2006 06:47 pmDUDE. I make the best homemade salsa in the history of ever. *Gorges*
The manager at Starbucks finally called me this morning! It's been kind of touch and go for a while because, while he wanted to hire me, but this class that I need to take called the "Starbucks Experience" (IS IT A FUN RIDE OMG?) keeps on getting filled before he could sign me up and all this stuff. BUT, he's seeing if he can override that for right now and still hire me anyway and I can take the class later. So I went in this afternoon and he gave me this booklet with info about the company, rules/regulations, and healthcare (which, really, just makes me go "Look, look! I'm a big girl now hee hee!"), and then Monday I go in and give it back to him, and get hired! HOW EXCITING.
The initial nervousness of "Oh, now I have to become aquainted with all these new people, and learn new things, and inevitably make stupid mistakes, and etc," is in the back of my mind, but the manager is a SUPER nice guy, I mean really nice, and one of the girls working there is actually someone I went to high school with, so, yeah, I dunno. I'm kind of a wimp? Oh well. If I can do it in an office, dude, I think I can do anything.
A "cold front" went though yesterday, and it's still, you know, 91 freaking degrees out, but the sky is clear and blue, and I'm starting to notice that the sun is finally changing positions to make it actually look like fall is starting to come which makes me so damn happy I could cry. For those of you who's highs are in the 60's and whatnot? Yeah. I hate you. It won't get that cold here for another month, at least. :(
Padawhatsitwho? Omg.
