Dec. 25th, 2006

As it stands right now, it's 74 degrees and ridiculously humid out. I'm trying not to let it bother me, I really am. My mom has insisted for the past six years or so to go to this church in our quaint little downtown (or as quaint as it gets in Florida) for the candelight service, instead of our regular church, because it has a giant pipe organ and my mom is more than a little in love with it. It was lovely, as always, amidst all the rain. Came home and watched our traditional movies, A Christmas Story and It's a Wonderful Life ("What is it you want, Mary? What do you want? You want the moon? Just say the word and I'll throw a lasso around it and pull it down. Hey. That's a pretty good idea. I'll give you the moon, Mary." "I'll take it. Then what?" "Well, then you can swallow it, and it'll all dissolve, see... and the moonbeams would shoot out of your fingers and your toes and the ends of your hair..." and Jimmy Stewart and guys I love this movie so much) and being generally lazy. All in all, very nice.

For whatever reason I wasn't really feeling Christmas this year, which is sad, because I love, love this time of year. Maybe because I've been working nights now and haven't done a lot of the traditional stuff that we usually do, or maybe it's because we haven't had any real cold weather since Thanksgiving... I don't know. But tonight finally feels right, so at least I'm not a day late and a dollar short. Just... just wish it was colder, that's all. As long as I stay inside, I think I'm good, hee.

Merry Christmas. :D
