Ramen noodles give me indegestion. :((((

Um, okay.

My parents just bought my little sister a car.

My parents just bought my sixteen year old little sister this car:

So, okay, fine, it was only $2000 and in really good shape, but, but! She is only sixteen! SHE IS GROWING UP TOO FAST. And that thing is huge! She could get lost inside it probably! I don't want her driving around, I really don't.

Oh yeah, not to mention that this is my car:

I'm not jealous! I think. I LOVE my car, I really do, despite it being a ghettomobile, but COME ON. Well. I'm planning on establishing some credit on a Passat or a Jetta later on. Or maybe a Camry. Or a Corola. HMM. Oh invisible money, I love you best.

It's been so freaking hot and humid here the past couple days. It would be 85 degrees again today if it weren't raining. HATE, FLORIDA, OKAY, HATE.

So many papers. Why is it not Spring Break yet. :(

Still pretty cold here! DX

...ghettomobile... lolz

It's probably cold EVERYWHERE ELSE in the universe besides here. Florida is made of suck. :(

Omg I knoooowww, but it's so dangerous to drive around here and, and! I may be just a little bit worried. Just a little bit.

Plus, I had to wait until I was 17, SO. ;)

Your car > your sisters SUV.

Her car would only be good for one thing:
Living where THERE IS SNOW! And possibly off roading, but they don't make SUV's to really do that anymore because that was what they were originally intended for. I mean WHY would they make anything what it was really for anyway? That's just ridiculous. ;P

Get a Honda. You will save so much money on gas. I'm sure you will be anyway compared to your sister. :D

Why can I never use an apostrophe the way it was meant to be used?

Srsly.

*your sister's

**SUVs

[identity profile] caithream.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 10:05 pm (UTC)(link)
HA HA HA HAAAAA SNOW. I totally agree, but, heh, I don't see that happening any time soon. And yeah, it eats up gas. A Honda, you say! I will definitely have to look into that. :D

Her car is a huge beast of a thing. What's she going to be doing in it? And we're not even allowed to drive at 16. Scratch that, we're not allowed to drive cars at 16, I think tractors are ok. Or maybe that's driving tractors on private land. Anyway, no cars.

Hot and humid? It's starting to get bearably warm here. Not that we really had much cold. Not nearly enough snow for my liking this year.

YEP that's America for you. Huge ass vehicles for no reason whatsoever, and they are gas guzzlers. Hmph.

Wow, at what age are you allowed to drive? I think they were going to try and reinstate an older age to drive over here, but I think there would be riots in the streets, heh.

It probably helps that petrol is much cheaper (so I hear).

We can start learning at 17, though I only started at the end of last year (in fact, my driving test is on Wednesday omg).

[identity profile] caithream.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 10:43 pm (UTC)(link)
Well, it's jumped up to about $2.40 a gallon here which is about... 1.23 pounds? But that's not in liters, and... that's really just too much math for me to handle. WHUPS.

Aw, well good luck! :D

[identity profile] unhobbityhobbit.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 10:56 pm (UTC)(link)
*uses sooper maths skillz* I worked out that we're paying about £3.50 a gallon which is about $6.90. And it's pretty much all taxes. Mmm, taxes.

And thanks!

WHAT. SUV, WHAT.

My mom has an Explorer, and it was the car I learned to drive on. As a result, it took me a while to break the impression that all vehicles are TANKS. I can't even drive the thing now after driving my teeny tiny car everywhere.

But hey, if you're worried about her safety in that car, I wouldn't. My mom got rear-ended a while ago in her Explorer and didn't even feel it. Meanwhile, the other chick's car was smashed. GOOD TIMES.

o hay, when did you guys have Spring Break? Ours starts on the 12th. I AM THINKING REN FEST PERHAPS.

[identity profile] caithream.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 10:24 pm (UTC)(link)
INORIGHT. I haven't taken a spin in it yet, but I'm sure it would be really weird. And ahahaha omg I GUESS IT REALLY IS A TANK. That kinda makes me feel better! N'aw.

MINE STARTS ON THE 12TH TOOOO OMG. Omg Ren Fest. I am ALL OVER that idea. Eeeee! *Flaily*

[identity profile] heybritney.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 09:38 pm (UTC)(link)
mmf. did you pay for your car? because maybe you're just jealous about the fact that your parents bought her a car, and not you? which is sorta unfair.
oooh, passats & jettas are cute cars.

[identity profile] caithream.livejournal.com 2007-03-02 10:25 pm (UTC)(link)
HAHA NOPE. Perhaps I am kind of spoiled. :( But I do pay for gas and insurance, so... yay?

[identity profile] heybritney.livejournal.com 2007-03-03 12:38 am (UTC)(link)
oh, I don't pay for anything. i am like, the QUEEN of spoiled. lol.

[identity profile] miconic.livejournal.com 2007-03-03 08:42 am (UTC)(link)
I'm actually envious that somewhere around the world, one can buy a car at just $2000?!?!? *floats down to terra firma* Oh yeah, I live on this tiny red dot.

Oh invisible money, I love you best.

Word.
