We were informed this morning at work that, haha, oh God. It won't mean much for the 95% who DON'T work at Starbucks, but. On Election Day last year the company decided to give away a tall coffee if you showed your election sticker without informing us employees weeks beforehand so we couldn't, you know, STOCK UP ON COFFEE. And coffee-like accessories. I cannot even TELL YOU how busy we were. It was a nightmare. FOR A 12 OZ CUP OF BLACK COFFEE. And then today we're told that this Tuesday, we're giving away a free pastry. I just. You've got to be fucking KIDDING ME. And then they send a memo, "Oh, don't change your pastry order! Eeeeverything is under control." FALSE. I don't care if they say they're going to autoship 20394832 tons of pastries, SOMETHING WILL GO WRONG. Pastries, for God's sake. People like food more than they like coffee. I open that morning, and I've already told my manager that I CANNOT stay any later than 10am, as I have to drive back home and kinda sorta CATCH A FLIGHT. Seriously. Disastrous. Just awesome.
And by the way, customers of Starbucks, I am not your coffee robot. I am a human being, and I like being treated as such. Buy an espresso machine if you think you can do better.
Sorry. All I've pretty much been doing is working and coming back and pretty much working the rest of the day on homework and nothing else. Still haven't got enough done before going on the trip. Summer terms are glorious for being so short but maaaan, do they cram a lot in in 6 weeks.
I DID see Harry Potter on Tuesday and I really really liked it. As an adaption maybe not so much but I dunno! There were just these little things all throughout the movie that just made me STUPID with glee! I need to reread the book again though, definitely. HAHA the part at the end with the Felix Felicis. BEST.
And oh yes, oh yessss, 4 days until the trip. I am BEYOND excited. Just gotta get through this 6 day work stretch, SIGH.

HAHAHA. That is AWESOME in a totally horrible way and completely true. You know how when you're on register and you greet people by saying hi, or how are you, and they just go, GIMME A GRANDE COFFEE. I just wanna keep repeating hi until they acknowledge me. OR SOMETHING.
HEEEE. WELL, I'm leaving for my trip on Tuesday and I don't get back until the 30th, so sometime after then! My roommate gave me her free 30 trial thingy, so I am ALL over that. In a completely secretive way, of course. :>
