Went over to my dad's friend Al's house this evening. Since he has a huge big screen TV and a very lovely sound system, we watched Contact. Oh, blessed be. I love Contact so fecking much it's crazy. I had wanted to be an astronomer when I saw it many years ago for the first time, but after I saw it that even pushed the want further. To study those billions of stars, vibrant nebulas, planets, galaxies, that red super giant (which is approximately 1000 times bigger than our own sun) that inhabits the constellation of Orion... would make me so happy I swear I'd burst. This might be incredibly pathetic of me, but for some reason I get all choked up when seeing pictures of those things. I mean, everything out there is so big and we're so small. Such beauty and vibrance... it's breathtaking if not - with enough alchohol consumed - orgasmic. She was right; a poet. A poet could possibly get enough clarity across to describe it. I can't. It amazes me beyond comprehension. But, yes, I really love that movie. Jodie Foster is such a great actress. Gah. I love it.

Urgg... to go to Rock the Universe or not to go? Mummy, Erin, Deborah, and Aunt Winnie are going... s'pose I should, eh? If only it was at Islands of Adventure, though...

Holy crap... my participation level on Kazaa is at 500. That's high. I should download a movie or something, heh.

wow..i haven't heard you talk about stars, etc like that for years. maybe you can come over some time and we can check out the night sky through my telescope. dark backyards rock.

ps..i didn't know my mom was going to rock the universe. you know more about what's going on in my house than i do! wah! anyway..please come! most of the bands suck hardcore and so do some of the kids i'm going with! besides..i love you.

It's always been at the back of my mind... but yeah! I'd really really love to do that. Something we haven't done this summer yet is just me go over to your house and stay for a while. Yeah. We should do that.

Well, my mom emailed your mom and my mom told me... blah blah. Yeah, I don't really have a thing for the bands... maybe we could just go on all the sucky rides instead? Heh.

I love Contact. Big universe. Big, big. You know, a lot of people I've talked to thought the movie was too long and really boring. Huh. I really liked it. And as a bonus, you've got Matthew McConaughey to look at. He pretty. Ehe.
