Okay, so, uh. Okay, no SCRATCH THAT, I do kind of hold a bit of a grudge against you guys, because I see all these ideas running rampant in Wincest fics and NOT AT ALL in het fics, like, OKAY, dominence play, which, nggghh. SERIOUSLY, Dean needs to be all trying to get laid and this CHICK keeps grabbing his wrists and trying to pin him down and he's like, what the HELL, and she's like, on your back, cowboy, and then he's all, OH MY GOD. C'MON, WHERE THE HELL IS THIS KIND OF STUFF.

And that's all I have to say about that. *Sits on hands*

I cannot WAIT to finish my paper because I've got these two writing ideas floating around in my head, the first of which makes me ridiculously GLEEFUL, the second which will hopefully be my first ever successful multi-chapter fic. I even wrote an outline! GENIUS. *Lame* I'm just trying not to jinx it at this point! :x

My parents are gone for the weekend, my sister has more a life than I do, I've had some wine, and Ladytron is most definitely NOT playing at a reasonable volume. EMERGENCY DANCE PARTY STAT.

I realized I wasn't a slash fan all the way back in 7th grade when I read Gundam Wing fics! WE SHOULD START A GROUP, LOL. And one of my biggest fandom peeves is when people are like "it's totally canon!" when it's totally not canon. D:

BUT I DIGRESS. We should totally collab on projects, because I always have these ideas but I can't write them out for SHIT. All I end up doing is storyboarding them and wanting to illustrate what doesn't exist as a story! Epic failure!

I don't read much SPN slash, more crossover stuff if any. I am a bandslash person (which is a little more wrong, since they are real people)

ANYWAY MY POINT...

I know, at least in bandom, the Het stuff 9 times out of 10 ends up a Mary Sue. Maybe it's the same thing? Lack of females in the show forcing people to "create" their own, and it ends up being them just awesome.

I've heard that a lot about the Mary Sues. I dunno though! Sometimes I think a lot of people automatically associate female love interest as Mary Sue and I don't think that's fair. I mean, at least with SPN you don't have those "tenth walker" scenarios, like Lord of the Rings, you know, hi, I'm the gorgeous female elf that is now apart of the Nine and falls in love with so and so, and etc. Granted there IS a good number of Really Bad Het fics in the SPN fandom, but a lot less, I think, than I've seen in HP or Dark Angel or the like. I just wish people weren't so quick to throw up those assumptions. :(
