Heeee. I mean, by Con Experience, did you buy a weekend pass AKA "EyeCon Convention ticket", instead of just planning to do some kind of "day pass" for jusy say...the panels? Because if you did have that, then you could actually get the cocktail party ticket too (extra $65, but dude, all the stars are invited and already all the Roadhouse people seem to have accepted). And BTW your birthdate won't exclude you at ALL from the cocktail party. I got this for the EyeCon FAQ for the party:

Q: Are there any age limitations for the events at EyeCon?
A: No, there are no age limitations for any event. Although there will be alcohol served, there will be soda as well. Any one of any age may attend any event at EyeCon.

And the drinks are FREE.

Then the Banquet is an extra $85 ticket also(but there's only 100 being sold for the cocktail party and 150 for the Banquet-so pretty small groups) as well-but again you need the whole Con ticket as well as banquet ticket, and the order apparently depends on badge# but people pick which Celebrity table they want to sit at. Which means there is almost certainly no chance of my getting to sit at JP's table (he's going to that one, it looks like)...but that might be a good thing. I don't like to eat in front of most people anyway, and that could be Awkward. He could smile in my sightline, and then I'd go blind, and then I'd choke on whatever I was eating at the moment. And Major Suckage right there.

And I don't know what to think of trying to win an auction Breakfast or Lunch "date". I mean, it's so not a "date" and I couldn't even pretend it was...and...it's almost like an extended chance to embarass oneself by saying something stupid - if one by chance hadn't already done so at a photo op. *G*

I'd feel like Gert in RSAM (only I'm not that old, and especially NOT with the groping thing she was doing. UGH...no actor needs that in RL...just, UGH), just like somebody's being polite by spending time with you just because they had to, but would really give anything not to be there. OTOH, wow. A meal one on one with one of the Celebrity guests talking about what one likes about the show in a completely non-obsessive way, getting some inside info, and just talking...That's once in a lifetime chance. *ponders anxiously*

So, you could go to the other events too...:)

I have a pretty good little camera, but it's obvious it can take video-and has GREAT audio-it has the viewscreen you pull out...it's small, but it doesn't just look like a digital picture camera. I'm scared of it being taken away or kicked out/forbidden. But it really also does have a "just camera" mode, I can't help it if it's all in one, can I? *g*. Did people have cameras like mine, or were they more of the 'digital cameras that can take a minute of video at a time' type?

OK, Guess what. I got paid, and I went and reserved the gold pass for NEXT November's Chicago Salute to Supernatural(only!) con. *clings* TELL me I'm not INSANE???!!!!! *whimper*

*goes to check out fics*
