We come to it at last, the great battle of our time.

Well, let's get to it, then.

It was very good. It was VERY good. I've only been around twice for the book releases, but it still surprises me how cheeky JKR's writing is. Or maybe that's still just a British thing. HAHA. UM. But I laughed an awful lot while reading it. Like the twin's exclamation after the Polyjuice, "Wow, we're identical!" and even after George lost his ear, "Holey. Get it, Fred?" JUST. The twins especially have always been my favorite characters, and when Fred died... oh. That hurt. :(

Okay... for some UTTERLY weird reason, when it was talking about the albino peacock at the Malfoy manor at the beginning and near the end, I thought, ahaha, it was Lucius or something. Like his patronus! Or, I dunno, he's an animangus! Because of his hair, you know, and then SUPER DUH, his animangus would so be something as superficially-focused as a peacock. I DON'T KNOW.

Really, I started crying for reals when Remus and Tonks died, but only, I think, because they had had a baby. (That, too, was one of those times that I literally flailed and physically said, "JAG;A4GOIUAKLDJajgwa;oij!!1" No lie.) And then I started up again during "The Forest Again," because guys, I've said it before and I'll say it again, ANYTHING with family-angst just really tears me apart. "You'll stay with me?" "Until the very end." Ah;o2i3hq;ohg;owiejaslkdfj aaaaahhhh. :(((((

I think I focus on a LOT of different things than most other people who read the books. Like, I'm not an overtly huge Snape fan, so the whole bit with in the pensieve and his death made me kind of smile sadly and move on. I love ANYTHING and everything to do with James and Lily, and even the mauraders, and just, I dunno! I don't neccessarily get my panties in twist if this and this happen, or whatever, I just kind of accept it and move on.

But the Ron and Hermione kiss! AAAAAHHH I MADE STUPID LOUD NOISES!! And it was just because, just because Ron mention the house elves that send Hermione over the edge, and really, that just makes me laugh so hard. EEEE!!

My heart was utterly pounding during the "Battle of Hogwarts" and "The Flaw in the Plan." UGH, JKR. How are you so utterly BRILLIANT? Absolutely amazing.

I KNEW Harry was a Horcrux, I KNEW IT.

Ron was seriously amazing. So much so. And NEVILLE!!!!! HAVE MY CHILDREN, PLEASE.

PERCY!!! UGH I WAS SO RELIEVED EVEN THOUGH HE WAS A HUGE DICK THE MAJORITY OF THE TIME IN THE OTHER BOOKS. :((((

The hiding in the woods stuff was a bit long and drawn out and monotonous, hm. But maybe that's just because I was like, I WANT ANSWERS, I WANT ANSWERSSSSS.

"NOT MY DAUGHTER, YOU BITCH!" A;LGIJAWOIJA;SLDKJFA;LFJ SO MUCH WIN, MOLLY WEASLEY. AJSDFLK;ASDFKLJAS;LDFJ.

Speaking of answers, we did not learn why Harry has his mother's eyes was so significant, other than than Snape wanted to see "Lily's eyes" one last time before he died, D'AW. Nor did we learn a secret about Petunia. Uhhh, there were other things that I was DYING TO KNOW, but I can't remember right now omg.

So, yeah, the epilogue. I'm really kinda... meh about it. I can't put my finger on it, really, just everything except the very very last part just didn't do it for me. Except, you know, OBHWF, and I really, you know, expected Teddy Lupin to be a Very Angry Child, but no, he just likes to think with his downstairs brain, apparently.

Ah man. I seriously can't believe it's over. All things culminated and led to this point. And when we're older with our own children, it's just going to be so WEIRD to say, "You're damn right I read those books, and waited for 'em with more impatience than a kid at Christmas." Seriously amazing. JKR, I owe my first born, and then some.

Hollywood, seriously, DO NOT EFF UP THIS BOOK. Just. DON'T. *Crosses fingers??*

I finished it up at around 12:30 last night and then had to be at work at 7:30 this morning, so that plus days previous of going to bed late and waking up early has made me SUPER EXHAUSTED. Ugh. I don't feel like doing anything.

And omg, things that make me STUPIDLY HAPPY, this fan report of the boys. ;LKJA;DLIAJSDF;LAIWEJA;!!1 Jensen waxing poetic about the Harry Potter phenomenon! JENSEN YOU NERD. And JARED being JARED and ugh, YOU GUYS, I love them so much. And guess what. GUESSWHATGUESSWHAT. I'll be seeing them in, OH, five days time, or so. WHAAAAAAAT.

Last night, just as I was falling asleep, I had the BESTEST IDEA EVER for an SPN fic. Sam and Dean are going to hate me, totally, but I am rubbing my hands together gleefully, HA HA.

And happy birthday to my lovely lovely [livejournal.com profile] aerinbrooke!! Hope your day was absolutely WONDERFUL, sweets! ♥!

LOL, now I feel silly thinking $250 wouldn't be enough (I'm so paranoid!). I mean to *bring* not actually spend...it'd be nice if I had some left over, hahaa. I am all "Well, just in case..." XD

I don't even own a smallish suitcase. My parents' are all huge. I figured a large-ish backpack would be enough. I didn't even think of sheets/blankets, though! I don't think a those would fit in it. (Though I'm planning on bringing a little pillow for the airport.) Hmm...I was hoping to get away with just a carry-on, so I didn't have to worry about lost luggage or baggage claim. (Again with the paranoia!) And I also thought I'd have to carry it around everywhere.

I can get my own Friday badge now, thanks! So either one of us can get her badge, it's up to you. :D

Well, hey, it might be! I'm kind not good at judging how much money to bring in situations like that, haha. I'm bringing my debit card too, just in case.

Oh yeah, I was definitely going to do carry-on, because just the idea of the airline losing luggage, especially with all those stops freaks me out. And she said that sheets or whatever would be okay, but sleeping bags would probably be better, so here's what I think I'm going to do. I've got a rolly suitcase that's small enough to use as carry-on, so I'll bring two sleeping bags (my dad used to go camping a ton, so we've got plenty, ha) with me so that way you won't have to worry about bringing a bigger bag to put that stuff in when I can do it no problem. And yeah, definitely a pillow too, hee. SORRY, I'm just one of those people who likes to plan things down to the letter, heh!

Awesome! Okay, I'll go ahead and get my Friday one now, and her's as well! Good Lord, I can't believe we'll be seeing each other in THREE DAYS!!!

YOU ARE THE BEST. It'd be fab if you'd bring a sleeping bag for me! Thank you so, SO much!

THREE DAYS!!! This week is going too SLOW.
