Tea time for me.

A couple days ago I submitted an application for Yankee Candle in the mall, and the manager asked if I could come back and fill out a survey thing. Well, I did, and as I was leaving she said, "I'll review all your stuff and call you the beginning of next week. You wouldn't start orientation and training videos for another couple weeks, though." And I'm like... Do I have the job? I HOPE SO. Oh man. Candles. That's pretty exciting, right?

Also! Nicole Kidman confirmed to play Mrs. Coulter in the His Dark Material movies. Yeah... not exactly who I pictured. And no, I didn't picture Angelina Jolie either. Some kid named Dakota Richards is set to play Lyra, but I haven't seen any pictures of her yet.

Oh man, Thom Yorke's new album The Eraser = so ace. I'm in love. Mostly thanks to [livejournal.com profile] nothing_to_say. :D

I've been working there for almost two years now. It's been a year and 9 months. It was my first REAL job, and I don't think I could've had a better one. My biggest complaint is that I don't get nearly enough hours, because there aren't enough hours to go around, which sucks. But I love all the people that I work with, so I don't want to leave. Another thing is that they make a huge deal about "secret shoppers" (people that come in and pretend to be customers but are really evaluating you for the company). The things that we're supposed to do for every single customer are truly ridiculous. But overall, I like working there.
